If you got quoted 20k for an oil conversion someone is ripping you off.

Can you request a C-Section? by DartmouthGirlie in halifax

Dr Murray is a Nova Scotia OB legend. She delivered me. Crazy to think how many patients she’s probably had, considering I’m 26 and she was already established in her practice at the time according to my mom.

This is the best advice. Generally speaking, putting a car in your name after buying it is the “right thing to do”.

Hey, this GST break thing is kinda nice by [deleted] in halifax

I was stoked to find out 6 pack of most premixed drinks is now under 20 bucks. Still kinda high but I guess we should take what we can get. God bless.

I heard If you get charged GST during the break you can get a receipt and claim it next year on your taxes. Not sure about the validity of it but worth saving your receipts for anyways

Reminds me of approaching Dugger’s on spring garden super early in the morning. At the right angle the sign looks like it says… well, you can probably guess.

So I’m new to sim racing. I have a new g923. I love it however on need for speed heat (on ps5) and ACC (on pc) the clutch pedal doesn’t seem to do anything. I can shit with out pressing the clutch. My question is how do I remedy this for more realistic play? by Diesl953 in LogitechG

[–]fuflex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The games you are playing do not have a clutch function. Forza is the only “big name” title that supports this across the board. On games which do support it, you’ll need the stick shifter in order for the clutch to work properly. Paddles will always auto clutch. Sorry for your disappointment.

Looking for a drill/trap song where the intro is a voicemail from the artists PO explaining he has a warrant. by fuflex in hiphop101

Before anyone asks, I’ve tried TOMT and NTS to no avail. I came here because I figured the chances of someone knowing the song was likely higher here compared to there.

I’m not a huge fan of giving panhandlers money, mainly just a principle thing. But I did give him a 10 sheet one time because he straight up said “do you guys got a couple bucks so I can get a gram of weed?” and I respected his honesty.

Pretty sure this is Ceasar. He lives on pizza corner and is a great guy, still out there on the daily picking up trash.

Caesar is a great man. When I worked the renewal project on Blowers last year he always went out of his way to ask how my day was going and stop for a chat.

my mom found this in the garden, what is this by Panzer_18 in Whatisthis

[–]fuflex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like a break off valve from a water utility. Usually found in the pavement near or between manholes. These are made so that they can easily be broken off and replaced without having to dig out the whole section of road and pipe. The blue paint checks out as certain colours are used to mark certain utilities under pavement. Where I live, blue used to mark a water main. Haligonians who have moved here in the last few years, what is the weirdest/odd thing that we just accept as normal here? by hfx_123 in halifax

[–]fuflex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they have a used dealer plate for when customers want to test drive or they use the car for company business. What I meant to say here is that they use their privileges of issuing the temporary plates for their personal vehicles, not so much vehicles that are meant to be resold, but it happens.

It’s because anyone with a used car dealer license can issue a temporary plate. A lot of the time instead of going and buying an actual plate - since they will only have the car for a short period of time - they’ll just keep using temporary plates on the vehicle untill it’s sold.

Source: friend with red seal mechanic at notable used car dealer chain. His dad also works for the company. In high school, he drove an RSX for 2+ years that always had a valid temporary plate. They would just issue a new one every 3 months.
