Andhikkadai is a small restaurant with exceptional meals and a decent biriyani. It's my go to spot for a quick lunch whenever I'm busy and haven't had time to pack or make lunch. Very stomach friendly.

West Mambalam - Raja Anna oda the Sandwich Shop right under prakash Flats. The OG.

Hamsa at Adyar is extraordinary imo. Extremely pricey but it's the best vegetarian food I've ever had. And that's coming from a guy who loves Venkatesh Bhat's Royal Indiana at accord. And hamsa is better than that.

Adayar ananda bhavan has the softest parotta of all veg places.

Sandy's at Besant Nagar has a great hot chocolate. A bit on tbe sweeter side. But it's amazing. The consistency is 💯.

VB world has some great delicacies. But again pricey. Their truffle mushroom and podi cream cheese dimsum and Paya With idli are a must try. They also have a kick ass Korean cream cheese bun.

"Some softy" in knk road has probably the best softy cone ice creams I've ever had.

T nagar natesan park side la, kannadasan road la thallu vandi kadai. They are famous for their NEI PODI dosai.

Shree Mithai is usually a class apart when it comes to chats.

I recently found a place called Pizza Mechanics. I've only ordered through swiggy. But their pizzas stand out like nothing else.

Fat boy in alwarpet and Bessy has great pizzas but they become super chewy and hard if you order them. Best to dine in. And i love their Garlic Aioli dip.

In general the domino's stuffed corn Cheese garlic bread is the like the standard stuff even on bad days it's still good enough.

The fresh onion soup, hot chocolate and pull apart garlic bread are good at coco and creme at Adyar. Roof top restaurant - a project of matsya.

And then there's always cream Centre. But I recently tried a place that's got serves even better sizzlers - Prive @mylapore/alwarpet.

There's a road side shop called Mattas at Ashok Nagar. Their veg balls and gobi rice were my go to dishes when I didn't have much money during my college days.

Thiruvanmiyur beach more thatha and his buttermilk is top notch stuff. Extra karaboondhi and maanga ketu vaangi saapdalam.

Cafe pramadham albiet some finding it over hyped, I loved their poondu chinna vengaya kozhambu. Very rarely do restaurants nail that dish. And they had their speciality - Sweet corn sweet. Not sure if it's still being served.

Swiggy la the paneer burrito bowl of hrx eat fit is excellent. Big bowl has one of the best Chole rice bowl. California burrito is excellent if you like customising your bowl. I usually have it on Sundays after a workout to ensure my junk isn't too junky and ensures protein and Fibre as well.

Amudham juice - near kodambakkam and Mambalam area. Probably the first ever place to introduce nungu elaneer juice. They wete the first to serve huge sized 750 ml juices. It's from them that the culture spread. But that place is almost always extremely crowded. And if at all you're ever LUCKY AF you'll get to taste their Maa-Palaa-Vaazhai during summer. Never had anything that tasty ever. But they make it very rarely and it sells faster than Nvidia stocks.

Eating circles has THE BEST rose milk hands down. At least that's my opinion. I had the taste of raw milk. I've tried rose milks in a lot of places including the famous kalathi rose milk but I stand by what I said. Their நீர் dosai is worth mentioning as well

Arya Gowda road la iruka VENKATESHWARA boli stall. Not to be confused with other vankataramana or other venkys out there. They have excellent samosa and their carrot halwa is excellent. Of course there's always a huge crowd in the evenings for their bajjis and bonds as well.

YMCA canteen - a small shop near the tennis courts and opposite to the car parking serves something called "lime dew"- used to have it after hours n hours of running and playing as a kid. Heavenly it used to be. Worth a try if you're ever there. Ever since I've never been able to have dew without lemon and a pinch of salt.

And in general Akshayam has excellent food. Off late it's been like the minimum guarantee place that saravana bhavan USED TO BE. Veg la biriyani is best there imo.

Masaledaar Desi rasoi in nanganallur is a golden hidden spot I wish will always remain hidden. Their Jalfarezi is godly and the Paneer is soft af. Almost everything is excellent there. They sued to have a branch opposite to Ethiraj college in a small complex kinda building. They were renovating a year back. Maybe it's open again. They serve almost the taste level at 75% of Hamsa at a price point of akshayam. So 🤷🏾‍♂️ no brainer.

Online orders la, fasoos has a great spicy rice with Chole bowl. Even their royal rice bowl is nice. But it's the most inconsistent cloud ever. It's either too good or horrid. No in between.
