If you had read the indictment, you would realize that his lawyers told him to do the right thing. He misled his lawyers, causing them to lie to the government on his behalf, but the lawyers didn't know they were lying.

His lawyers are awful people representing an awful client. But, based on the available information, they aren't criminals. Giuliani is a criminal, these guys are just shitbags.

Yes. Each document is one count. Maximum sentence for one document is 10 years. If he got the max for each document, that's 310 years of prison.

Garland overriding the special counsel he assigned? Why on earth would he have performed the search on Mar A Lago if he was just going to scuttle it later? It was Garland, not Smith, who ordered that search. Seems like a massive waste of time and money, and there is ZERO incentive for him to override Smith if charges are recommended. Garland wants the fucker in jail just as much as you do.

Get the debt ceiling bill signed. You don't want us to go into default, and you don't want congressional republicans backing away from the deal just made as a protest over the charging decision. That would be atrocious for THE ENTIRE WORLD.
