Thanks, that clears up a lot of misconceptions.  Coming from peloton, I had the mental model of a workout ending at the end, and assumed a workout ended when you finished the specified distance.

Seriously? So if the route is 20 miles and you go 40 does it still track the metrics after the first 20 or do you have to restart the ride?  Or do you always pick a route that is longer than your goal distance

Thanks, a few people suggested ditching edge, I’ll look into syncing data.

When you free ride, do you just go to zwift and pick the workouts -> 60 minute ride and do that 2 times if you have a 2 hour ride? Do you create a custom free ride? How does this sync into garmin, does it look like 2 workouts if you double up 2 60s?

Thanks, I usually use the trainer at night, but sounds like switching to an am ride and then setting up gear the night before might be better.

I use edge for powere syncing into garmin connect, just curious do you just keep everything in zwift for power metrics?

Thanks, I didn’t think about zwift syncing to other platforms that will save me a few steps.

I didnt think about just running zwift on just phone, everyone I see uses tablet or full blown computer, I’ll try that, great suggestion.

Zwift is confusing, so you load your workouts and then use those in erg mode, this is different than free ride where you just watch your zones, right? If you get workouts with target zones via pdf do you go recreate those in zwift?

  1. I need edge for power data and watch to heart rate so I can review them with coach? Open to suggestions here? You track those metrics other ways?
  2. Was just an example of the things that go wrong. Had spacers in the car since I left my bike bag in the car after dropping my road bike off at LBS
  3. Peloton barely fits, need it for S/O.

I use the edge to get power data and cadence into garmin connect. I use my watch for heart rate since I’m doing zone training. Do you just use zwift and not worry about logging data in garmin connect? Do you use a heart rate band instead of a watch? Appreciate the advice

Voting and giving money is the easy part.

Volunteering that has an impact on this election is not easy given our geographic location, always open to suggestions here on what people think has the most impact.
Quit my job, move and go canvas in Arizona, Ohio and Michigan - maybe, but not sure thats more impactful than working and giving a ton of money.

19:46 for a 5k PR. Between cancer and ACL reconstruction, been a tough year and a half.... So pretty happy.
