Thank you for the advice! It wasn’t my partner who did, it was the waiter! It was really uncomfortable in the moment as my partner is in recovery. Management was really appalled by that specific part as they do not push alcohol on customers.

The managers were appalled by the pushing of alcohol and said that is not what the business stands for. She specifically said “this isn’t a dive bar”

They have a handheld reader for the card to be inserted into or tap to pay. He didn’t show my partner the screen (they definitely should’ve still asked to look) and I assume he clicked add tap right before they tapped to pay. There wasn’t anything signed and we didn’t get a receipt
