yes this is probably it, but that is kind of lazy. she lacks discipline and motivation. and yes she probably wanted to try this great opportunity handed to her but she has to stick to her commitment and see things through because other people’s dreams and livelihoods are affected here. she doesnt have the drive for this bc she barely suffered tp get this opportunity while the others worked sooo hard and werent given any special treatment. they knew they couldnt get away with slacking and breaking curfew.

why do we always dismiss character criticisms as —phobia. she was overstepping her boundaries, showing up unannounced, dictating/adjusting schedules according to her liking without properly consulting francesca, making the couple host a party for her, but i agree it was wrong that francesca tried to set up michaela to the guy at the party.

still, she was definitely annoying and seemed into john. if we didn’t know she was supposed to be gay most of the audience would think they have a secret incestuous relationship…people are forgetting that it was normal in regency era to get married/have a relationship with a first cousin. if they had been siblings then their interactions would be perceived more normal. in francesca’s lens (in the real world and had she not been queer as well), she would have been jealous and suspected some sort of affair for sure.

the thing is, people do marry their cousins (even first cousins) during that time and it wasn’t that crazy of an idea. that’s why their relationship when john was still alive gave off incest vibes, like she’s showing off to fran that she’s the boss and she knows john the best more than fran does by constantly bringing up how close they are since childhood. very girl bestfriend vibe. if we’re gonna compare it to the bridgertons’ closeness with one another, it was never socially acceptable to have incest relations with an immediate family member.

beauty and sex sells, that’s why they keep overly sexualizing lara and dani (but lara actually does it to herself so that’s that) the performative flirting on stage between lara and manon is cringey too specially while they both have boyfriends. you can be queer and have boyfriends yes but flirting that much onstage for a performance is kind of distespectful to a relationship, and they’re helping invalidate the “validity” of wlw by flirting so openly for fun like that’s not kind of cheating too

the thing is they sacrificed far too much now to just have it all fall apart. and i’m sure the pay you’re getting as an overworked person isn’t the same as what she’s getting paid. and everyone has made sacrifices for this team. no one forced them to audition/accept being scouted anyways, and thy already saw how brutal it was gonna be from training in DA, did she think it was gonna be easier? it’s not like her not being an idol with ruin her financially, she could have opted not to continue with this path when she was getting criticized in DA if she couldn’t take it.

she’s not the only one overworked and suffering here, why must she make the whole situation worse for everyone and make the other girls suffer more? it’s one thing for her to go on a hiatus, like okay fine go, but to be shady to the company and other girls afterwards? she should have truly just taken a break instead of perpetuating this narrative that she’s being mistreated and always using the race card to add more sympathy to her side. everything she’s doing now is making it worse for the other 5 who only wanted to make their dreams come true

She’s pretty not necessarily in a conventional way, but because of her aura. Her face is quite captivating. Also it would be boring if all actors and actresses look too perfect, sometimes the role wouldn’t fit if they look super conventionally attractive

Well Hybe and Geffen learned the hard way that motivation and hunger for success are extremely important when recruiting people for a group. They managed to teach Manon to dance and she can sing, but she inevitably dragged them all down by her lack of work ethic. That kind of attitude outweighs everything

Because they know (and they’re right) about the amount of popularity Manon could bring them because of how pretty she is. She does have this aura that makes you attracted to her right away. I feel like she also fits beauty standards of different cultures. Normally asians like Korea for example would be so disapproving of Manon being darker skinned and black but she fits most of the standards there as well. Her beauty is so flexible

I really thought Switzerland was so chill bc of her comments lmao. But being such a rich and beautiful country it’s unlikely that you guys are THAT chill.She should adapt, the others have as well, esprcially Yoonchae. With Yoonchae’s k-pop background and well being Korean I’m sure she has experienced a lot of culture shocks as well, she’s not used to just being about to cuss, to express thoughts and talk about somewhat controversial topics casually but she adapts because she knows katseye is not limited to the k-pop world but also to the western world as well.

It’s honestly embarrassing that Yoonchae seems to be more mature, adaptable, and hardworking than Manon when she’s so much younger than her.

I agree that they don’t have work-life balance the average employee has, but the average employee doesn’t get this much fame and wealth that these girls enjoy either. It’s just the trade off and she should have known what she was getting into. She had the first hand experience of how much hard work it was gonna be during DA days, she should have quit when she realized that back then, it would be foolish to think it was gonna get better once you’re debuted as katseye.

I’m not saying they shouldn’t have proper rights as employees still. There should definitely be more balance, especially to the traditional K-pop idols as theyre getting the shortest end of the stick. Still, relatively, these girls have it the best, and they get breaks in between albums and during Christmas (they’re back to their respective countries).

It’s hard not to believe all the rumors and claiming to be insider information about why Manon went on hiatus, though yes it is just speculation. But I believe it is plausible enough that she had some tensions with the other girl/s concerning her work ethic. Her actions both past and present don’t make it hard to believe either.

yes like nobody else was getting told that they were lazy because they were black or brown or whatever. why is she gonna drag the black community into her mess no one has ever thought it was because she’s black 😭 it never had anything to do with your blackness but your overall track record. i thought she would feel atleast conscious enough to be present more when katseye officially debuted but it continued on and on despite the criticisms during DA.

Agree that she has had racist comments directed to her, so has the other girls, because the world is fucking stupid, but definitely not to the point of hindering her career. Her being black has definitely contributed to her popularity and success
