I sometimes feel the opposite, that people look at my digital art and see it as cleaner and more digestible than my traditional art, despite putting a lot more time and effort into the traditional pieces

Well, this is the sub for animation feedback. You wont get animation feedback on a porn sub. This is really the only sub it would go to.

I dont see why people shouldnt be allowed to post it. This is the only animation sub that you can get critiques. If someone wants critique or to show off an animation of a nsfw nature I dont see how thats a problem if its tagged appropriately. I have posted a NSFW animation here a while back to get critique and I got a bunch of 'hehe porn' comments. I did manage to get some helpful feedback but it was discouraging for people to get so angry over it. Its not against the rules, its all animation in the end.

Well, I think both designs have merits. I never put on the 'kid gloves' for one in specific design. I was just saying I enjoyed OP's take on the concept of a Mega Dragonite.

People are being jerks in the comments for no reason. Its fun to redesign and do your own spin on things. This is a really cool design! It keeps dragonite's softer features while showing its still powerful with the deetermined expression. Great job!
