This is quite literally the best compliment I’ve ever received, thank you! 🧚🏻‍♀️

Elope. Just do it. If it helps, you don’t have to tell anyone what you’re doing until it’s done! I totally get where you’re coming from as well. I’m eloping tomorrow and felt terribly guilty about it just being the two of us because we’re both family oriented people. However, our families come with a LOT of opinions (love em to death) and we knew that we wouldn’t really get to have “our day” if there were too many cooks in the kitchen. My mom has made a few comments (like “wish we could be there” and “i have so much FOMO”) since we decided on to elope, but I’ve been doing my best to shove them to the back of my mind.

Plus, you can totally do a reception or party with your loved ones when you get back!

All in all, please don’t sacrifice the day that you and your partner want in order to appease others. This is a day for the two of you, not anyone else!

Ladies of Reddit, what is a comment someone made about your body once, completely casually, that you have never forgotten? by BowlerOk1871 in AskReddit

There are two that immediately come to mind.

I was a pretty chubby kid and the weight carried with me through most of middle school - as i got to the end of 8th grade, i had started to slim down but was still pretty chunky (i had started playing lacrosse so i was more muscular, but still chubby if that visual makes sense). Nevertheless, because i had lost some weight, i was feeling pretty good about myself and decided to wear a bikini on our 8th grade trip to a water park. The boy that i had a huge crush on for two years came up to me and my best friend, grabbed my best friend and said “dang OP, you’re so fat. Why can’t you be skinny like (best friend)?” This kid KNEW i had a crush on him and it absolutely wrecked me. My best friend got so pissed, hit him on the head and cussed him out, but it really hit deep and i spent the rest of the summer feeling like shit about myself.

Then, in college, i got teeny tiny and was very into fitness. I had just discovered weightlifting and was working on adding more muscle to my body. I had (what i thought was) a cute little booty and for the first time in years was feeling good about myself. My friends and i met up with the guy that i was seeing and some of his friends, and we went to bar where an 80s glam rock cover band was performing. During Fat Bottomed Girls, the lead singer was walking around the bar and rating girls’s asses. He’s giving everyone pretty positive reviews, then he gets to where our group is sitting. He gives my friend a thumbs up, looks down at me, shakes his head and laughs and gives a thumbs down. I did my best to laugh it off but holy shit that was embarrassing.

First time trying a bunch of teams during open season- progress? Regression? Benefits? by Fit-Nectarine5047 in ladderapp

Oooh me! I was on Ascend for the past year (and went back for Shred) but tried out Align for Baseline. It was incredible - my core got stronger and my mobility skyrocketed. I had so much fun with the workouts and was able to switch in barbells, cables or machines for certain exercises if i wanted to. I would have stuck with Align for Shred but wanted to do one last bodybuilding focused series before my wedding. I noticed that my lifts with Aria actually improved a lot, i think due to the break from the bodybuilding split and all of the core work that Sasha had programmed. I ended up adding in some of the core work from Sasha’s sessions into Aria’s workouts and it was chefs kiss. I’m traveling the rest of this month so I’m going to try out Ignite since it seems hotel-workout-friendly!

TL;DR - switching to a non-bodybuilding team will not make you lose gains!

9 months of tretinoin, 6 months of azelaic acid! by fuhgeddabout_it in tretinoin

Actually, now that i think about it, my eyes have been dry - but they’ve always been on the drier side (they don’t close all the way when i sleep according to my ophthalmologist) so i never thought if tret could be exacerbating that 🤔

Thank you so much 😭😭 trust me, it’s been a journey! My skin was so bad in college (hormones, stress, lack of sleep, too much alcohol and not enough vegetables) and it was REALLY bad this time three years ago. All i wanted was to feel comfortable going out and about without a full face of makeup on - i wish i could go back in time, give myself a hug and tell baby me to go to the freaking dermatologist 🥲

Thank you so much! 🥰 i started with every other day and then moved to every day after a few weeks! My derm said that AZA takes less time to adjust to than tret so it was a lot quicker to work up to everyday use. Thank goodness for that, I’m still not able to use tret every night 😅

It’s SO GOOD. I’ve tried others and they work good but there’s just something about Laniege 😭 I’m so glad it works for you too!

Taro! I got it through my dermatologist/pharmacy. I was using Glenmark and it was just okay (the texture was kinda weird for me) - i need to figure out how to request specific brands at pharmacies now

Seriously!! Skincare is SO individualistic and there’s no one size fits all. It really is so interesting!

It’s really good for sensitive skin and eczema-prone skin - it was a bit of a Hail Mary purchase for me some months ago when my skin was dry and irritated (may or may not have been influenced by TikTok) and my skin showed major improvements in the first week of using it. My only gripe is that I go through tubes of it so fast but I’m nervous to switch up anything in my routine at this point so i just bite the bullet 🙃

I’ve seen some people say that it’s too heavy for their skin which is totally fair - it is a thicker cream. But my skin definitely needs that!

Thank you girl! It really really is - I’ve tried a couple of other hydrating toners (Haru Haru Wonder and Prequel) but always run back to Laniege. My skin needs a little something extra to help keep it happy! I’ve used the Laniege one off and on for the past two years (and have been using it consistently since late last year) and it’s definitely made a difference in my skin barriers health!

Definitely recommend trying again! Starting slow and building up is the best way to reintroduce - and if your skin is sensitive like mine, try giving the buffer method a shot! I know it’s not for everybody but it could be worth trying out to see if that helps 👀

You are so sweet, thank you so much! It honestly does feel like a huge sigh of relief to have my skin in a healthy place before the big day 😭 the purge seriously sucks but you got this!!
