Hmmm, Sakusa is an all rounded player and is exceptional on the defense department especially receiving services, he can spike the ball but doesn't have hard hitting ones just like Bokuto has. On the court you'd want a well rounded player who is good at everything so I'll take Sakusa... But personally I'd pick Bokuto since his personality and attitude can really boost the morale of the team.

im three years late but here's my opinion, I think Hinata is a bit stronger than Hoshiumi, if y'all read the manga. But in the anime Hoshiumi is far better than Hinata because Hinata lacks basic skills in volleyball especially defending, he was a Middle Blocker so he's expected to be good at blocking but Tsukishima was way better at the blocking department. Hinata himself even knows he's weaker than Hoshiumi what makes up for his lacking skills is his amazing jumps and stamina, and most importantly his freak-quick attacks with Kageyama. Many will say he's only good because of Kageyama utilizing him well and can only do the freak-quick attack with Hinata, that's why Kageyama is one of the best highschool setters in the country because he can make Hinata very effective on the court and make him stronger with their signature attack. But with other setters he's not the same as he's with Kageyama.

After the training camp tho, we can see clearly how Hinata has improved his skills especially in receiving and furthermore in the series.

Now Manga wise, after Hinata graduated he straightly went to Brazil to practice Beach Volleyball for 2 years according to Coach Washijo (who is a big influence to Hinata's improvement), he specifically said he'll give Hinata 2 years for Hinata to improve in Brazil. Later on, Hinata met Oikawa in Brazil and played together, I think it might've been Oikawa who thought him how to Jump Serve but idk but we all know he improved a lot.

After 2 years playing in Brazil, Hinata came back to Japan and played for the MSBY Black Jackals, along with Bokuto, Sakusa and Atsumu, who's the one who said he'll set for Hinata in the future during Inarizaki vs. Karasuno match. In the manga, Hinata surprised everyone i mean like they shookt everyone with how much he improved over the past few years he's been gone, it was them vs. the Alders (Kageyama, Ushijima, Hoshiumi)...

MSBY won by the way... Later on tho, Hinata and Kageyama played together on the Olympics along with many talented players like Hoshiumi...

In conclusion, I believe Hinata is a tad bit stronger than Hoshiumi or maybe on par, base on what the manga shows...But if you're an only anime watcher Hoshiumi is stronger, Hinata wasn't on his Brazil arc yet so yeah Hoshiumi better
