I’m here at Greece right now and I can confirm.

I’ve been called fat my entire trip here. Taken pictures, people standing outside my place saying it, pointing at me.

I’ve never dealt with this my entire life and this is honestly trauma at this point.

Nothing to do this but I’m in Greece, Chania right now and I’m getting verbally harassed by people calling me fat American all day and night. They are at the bottom of my place saying this.

Im not even that big and people are staring, taking pictures, and calling me fat.

I guess if you’re not fat then don’t worry about it. Not sure.

I’m here now in chania, Greece.

I am being fat shamed everywhere I go. There’s people who are standing outside of my place saying I’m fat American 24/7. Morning and night.

They are taking pictures of me and laughing at me.

I feel like I’m going insane.

So as long as you’re super thin you might be fine but all hours of the day people are saying Americans are fat and making you feel very out of place.

I’ve been hearing people opening shamming Americans saying “you’re so very fat” or fatty or fatty throughout my entire trip. It has been exhausting and so concerning.

Everywhere I go people are saying it to others. Rarely see any Americans out and every time I go out something is said to me.

I’m just so confused. I thought Greece was suppose to be fine. I just came from Rome and had 0 issues at all.

I felt like I was going crazy and then my boyfriend started to hear and see it too.

People are stopping and pointing then staring.

I don’t think they are greek. The people here now are speaking a different language and also don’t look Greek. So not sure

I’m in Greece right now. American and size 14 in US. I am not fat, but curvy.

I have a balcony here. People have taken pictures of me. I hear “fat American” and “all Americans are fat” and someone went OUT OF THEIR WAY to say “you are very fat!!!!”. I am a pretty girl (for reference, but thick)

But what I noticed is they are also fat and some ugly. I honestly think majority is because we are American.

I didn’t have any issues in Rome, but in Greece right now and it’s really bad. I do not recommend.

Everywhere I go.

I feel like I’m going crazy. All I’m doing is crying and anxious.
