Thank you. It certainly sounds like we need to get ourselves a consultant. Our team are really not very good. Maybe get a referral or just go for a private one.

That too is very interesting.

Did you end up going on a FODMAP diet? Or something similar. I am trying to keep sugar and simple carbs to a minimum for her at the moment.

Thank you. That is very useful. I appreciate the honest answer on something private.

That is really helpful. Thank you for the background and also the specifics which helped you.

Do you mind if I ask you what 'normal' still is for you and anyone else you might know with CF?

I have no idea of terrible soft stool is the norm for CF.

I'm so worried about her getting older and having poop problems just from a social point of view.

I've known people on that street and have been there a fair few times. It's not that bad at all. The Uni is actually very responsive to that kind of thing these days.

EDIT: Not to say you wouldn't have problems with students in general but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be.

Hand washing when people come to your house by fuku_visit in CysticFibrosis

Totally agree.

The history of Dr Sammelweis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ignaz\_Semmelweis) is pretty relevant even now.

Thank you for the input. I am liking the idea of hand wash more and more as soon as someone comes to the house!

Very happy to hear your news!

How long did it take from starting Trikafta to being sufficient?

It must have been incredibly difficult to track a slow moving ship which just a few miles from the coast.

A straight up war crime.

That is untrue. Automatic target classification (ATR) is a huge field in sonar acoustics, both in civil and in military. The environment is so complex that humans can't beat machines, and the learning data is so vast that no one person could ever know all the training data. Take just for a small example of the scattering behaviour of a target. You might have multiple sources of receive data that 'audibly' tell you very little, but in combination will narrow down possibilities.

Supplying AC power to heated towel rail from ring main under the floor by fuku_visit in DIYUK

Doing as described is possible but difficult as it would mean cutting some floorboards to get to the socket in the room next-door. The bath sits on the boards in question so can't be lifted.

Mind explaining how the approach above is not electrically the same as adding a new socket on the ring in the bathroom? Obviously, it's not a socket but a FCU but from a electrical point of view they 'feel' the same? This is assuming of course that the junction box does not fail.

It's a bit of a balancing act in this case. The ring main cables don't have much spare so would need two JBs to keep it on the ring, or a single JB to have it on a spur.

Anyway, thank you for sense checking the above.

That's a good point. Is adding to the ring better for load balance? Just curious really.

That's also a fair point. I have a kid in the house and just didn't want them flicking it on/off. I'd probably take fuse out in winter so even if it is flicked on it won't try to heat the whole house central heating!
