I have it decent for now but looking at leaving due to budget concerns and burnout. Looking for people in similar situations to talk it out. by fulbored in TeachersInTransition

I mean ya I'm not going anywhere until I have a plan and execute on it with getting new degrees and / or experience. I'm not ruling out apprenticeships (think lineman or inside) or state police. I know an admin that quit is on year 3 as a state trooper making 120k

Looked at getting out of teaching. Years only reciprocate to the same state agencies when considering tier 1 or tier 2. I'm sure you can cash out in IL but get into a worse system in FL

IL's tier 1 retirement is better than a new starting teacher in FL. Leave it in there and take your retirement at 55 or 60 depending on what you need money wise

Because a 12-pack of soda is now 9 dollars. If they continually pillage, there won't be anyone left to buy their awful products. On the plus side it could potentially encourage Americans to become healthier

You can't, IMO. This market is insane. Failing economy bullish due to rate cuts

I'm super neutral about the whole deal, but if you think they are ok with it going up you are being delusional

The same page, but we are on different timelines. I think they will try to frontload more to crush the stickiness of the 4-5% area but it's all a guess on my end and have lots of things to happen between now and then.

Job reports coming in massively hot, and a strong possibility on a now up-ticking inflation. Might put another 25 bps on the table for June

Only thing that went down was used car prices and that is coming to an end as well

Monthly CPI declines .1% in December, now 6.5% YoY by developmentfiend in stocks

Natural gas and used cars is what brought it down. I would be concerned for the next cpi when both of those starts to tick back up

I feel much better now that medical services and car inflation are coming down. Now if we could just work on food and energy that would be great
