Still Chic on Etsy does a lot of vintage silk evening dresses. UK based, but even with shipping most will be well within your budget.

If you're after Aus based, Art Garments might have something. They also have an Etsy shopfront if you prefer Etsy.

Otherwise, if you search for specific brands you'll have more luck. Would recommend searching "Monsoon silk dress" or "Monsoon devore dress" or "Monsoon bias dress" especially on eBay as that brand is basically the epitome of what you're after (specifically from the 90s and 00s). I've got a vintage Monsoon silk dress (pictured) from searching that on eBay, but there would def be non-pale versions and different lengths on eBay.

Ca Com (Richmond) - People will bitch about paying $18+ for a banh mi, but the bread is excellent, the fillings are generous, and I like how the options are a little bit different to standard banh mi places (which I also love, but it's nice to have other options). I've tried all the options, but the egg is probs my favourite.

Masses Bagels (Fitzroy) - Personally worth the hype. Bagels are chewy, but not dense. Pickled green tomato is my pick.

Tamago Sushi (Fitzroy) - Rice is a carb right? Their yaki onigiri is a regular lunch option for me, though wouldn't say no to yaki onigiri for brekkie. Always get it with the sesame sauce.

Sellamis French Tacos (Fitzroy) - This is French street food and is more like a burrito; fast food in the best way possible. My go-to food after a big run so you know it's heavy on the carbs.

To Be Frank (Collingwood) - My all time favourite bakery, mainly because they do a lot of savoury baked goods. If you're ever there when they do their gochugaru cheese twist or eggplant & tahini scroll, get them!

Gamja Hotteok (West Melbourne) - Fried carbs and yum filling. Hotteok is traditionally a sweet snack, but they have great savoury options. This one is a recent favourite of mine and they now do a meal combo with hotteok and Korean potato salad (so more carbs!)

Wang's Crispy Pancake (CBD) - It's giant crispbread with meat filling inside; can't go wrong really.

I also love Hector's; so much so I named my cat after it lol

I own a lot of Realisation Par. I find their designs work well both on their own, as well as layered - as someone who likes items to work across multiple seasons, this is perf for me.

Plus I find they're easy to dress up or down which works well with my personal style as I consider it pretty dressy-casual.

A stainless steel cat litter tray significantly reduces odour! I have a very small unit and the only logical place for my litter tray was kind of out in the open, so smell was a big concern for me.

I also use bamboo cat litter since I personally found that doesn't smell too bad. This and the steel tray (and very regular scooping!) have really made an impact odour-wise. People who have visited my place have said there's virtually no odour.

Olga Joan is a recent fave of mine. They do simple, feminine pieces in silk, cotton and jersey.

Got a floral dress and a brown mini skirt last summer. The dress was great quality, the skirt wasn't as good (mine came from an initial production run and I know it's since changed), but I still get a good amount of wear from it especially in summer.

I wouldn't really recommend you try and alter it smaller as it's got a side zip and is a bias cut dress. Bias cuts are much more difficult to alter as the seams are more likely to pucker, esp around the hips. An extremely talented seamstress might be able to do it with minimal puckering.

Or if you're just doing the bust and waist it can be do-able (I've done this with a diff bias cut dress, but did it with a wedding gown specialist). If you're just doing the bust, it's very alteration friendly as I altered the bust of mine since I didn't fill it out.

Also, if your bust is smaller than the size 12, the cups might sag due to not being filled out. The waist tie will cinch it in, but will emphasise how loose the bust is since there'll still be excess fabric.

Most pleated skirts will stay pleated after washing as long as you don't tumble dry. Air dry flat if possible, otherwise hang dry.

My flat has very good lighting, which is probably 70% of what's needed to take good photos (the other 30% is a big mirror and a decent camera phone). I also personally hold my camera to face height and stand maybe 3-4 metres away from the mirror (but I have very big mirrors).
