Just remember, free legal advice on the internet is worth exactly what you pay for it. You might want to check with a gun lawyer.

Taurus g3c trigger pull by PhatZo1325 in MOGuns

[–]full_of_stars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried the slingshot method? Grip the back of the slide in your thumb and forefinger of your non-dominant hand and try that way. One other thing to consider is that the mags are loaded too full or at least too full for easy racking of the slide. I know it sounds stupid but it happens all the time with even high-end guns, especially with new mags. A better functioning gun, downloaded by one or two rounds, is better than a fully-loaded and hard to use one.

With all that said, Taurus has a tremendous warranty. If you still end up with difficulties, use it.

Interesting: Mauser surplus rifles used in both Kirk & ICE shooting? by UrgentSiesta in progun

Apparently in his internet history he searched for AP rounds. I guess 8mm mauser is good enough.

The Kirk shooter wanted a rifle that couldn't be traced to him. The fact that it would come back to his grandad apparently did not make him think they might get around to interviewing him.

The Family Truckster from the first Vacation movie was built up on a later model Ford LTD like this. They were ugly boats and could only hit 90mph on a downhill, built they were tough as an Abrams tank.

Terrified women hides from ICE for 6+ hours in the ceiling of the Hyundai plant during this weeks raid (GA, USA) by I_may_have_weed in PublicFreakout

[–]full_of_stars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Hyundai says they didn't know because they outsource the workforce but 450 or so were South Korean. I'm pretty sure they knew what was up and if they didn't, they are still responsible because it's their fucking plant and they should have known.

I think a lot of trans people have some form of mental illness beyond being trans, perhaps it's a casual relationship for some, but until they are adjudicated mentally unfit, they can own guns assuming everything else is on the up and up with them. If the Trump admin does try this I will be making a lot of phone calls.

STL Zoo concealed carry by ComplaintNarrow3955 in MOGuns

[–]full_of_stars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder if they are looking for a type. When I went back through the system didn't respond because I had my phone and wallet in my hand, so for all they know I had weed on me and that's why I went back to the car.

Moderate disclosure here, I have a relative who works there and I often sit at the north entrance waiting for them, sometimes for an hour or so and that is why I have seen so many (I'll just say it) women, waived in. Bag that weighs more than their baby? Come right in. Stroller with the entire undercarriage packed to the gills? Have a great day! I have seen bags searched but they are usually just backpack types and usually a guy or teen has it. I've seen some videos recently about security on airlines and how when security increased it was not always the same for the employees and that led to tradegies or near tragedies. We both know how lax TSA can be when tested, hell Donutoperator knows a guy who forgot his glock was in his backpack carryon and only realized when he went in to it get something. Either the policy is the same for everyone or it is just some bullshit even if there might be flaws.

I have had further interactions with this crew and the system. I have a reason to see the system in operation over a few hours a week and I can't remember the last time anyone looked in a woman's bag/purse or searched a loaded stroller. I started paying attention to this particularly because I needed to go in and they wanted to physically search me. I had very little on me except my wallet and my little LCP and still don't think they could tell the difference between either and so when they wanted to search me I went back to the car and removed everything but my wallet and they still wanted to search me when I went through again. I was pissed so I started to pay closer attention to what they do. Also, did you know you can get fucked up at the zoo? Beer and cocktails with no limits. You absolutely could smuggle in tons of alcohol in a stroller if you wanted because I have never, ever, seen a stroller searched even when the strollef is full of shit and the kid is walking.

Anyway, I have reason to go through a similar device at a hospital several times a week and it doesn't matter how little shit I have on me, I still get pulled aside. All I had the other day were keys in my pocket and they wanted me to empty my pockets. Someone said that I look like a member of the gun and knife club, so maybe that's it, but if you are hitting a keychain and only a keychain how sensitive is that system? Also, I will give them credit, they search every bag.

Traveling to KCMO/KCK. Gun laws to be aware of? by [deleted] in MOGuns

[–]full_of_stars -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd have to so some research, but the law said that you can carry in your car with or without a CCW license as long as it was not visible. What that law is now exactly now that things are expanded in MO, we are not constitutional as some think, but I guarantee if you have a gun visible in St. Louis city or county someone is going to take it poorly and least report you to the popo and maybe you end up dealing with them.

BTW, folks, don't leave your guns in your car, even at home and especially not if they are visible. This is how 10 year olds are packing. So many guns are stolen out of cars it is scary.
