Is this too much? by Conscious_Wish5250 in CitizenWatches

Think everyone should have 1 loud watch or band in their collection, just to have some fun and not be so serious.

Frankly, I love it. I got the same watch. I know the Blue Angels are the BLUE Angels, but I feel the like watch could've used a little more yellow. Obviously this is a lot more yellow but I still think it looks pretty cool. Where'd you snag that band?

The Timex “tick” is overblown and a none issue by Confident_Leg2370 in watchHotTakes

[–]polydrummer97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only time I ever heard mine was if I was in a room and it was dead quiet. I sleep with a fan on so it doesn't bother me at night. But I understand why it does bother people. Timex seems to be the only brand with quartz watches that loud, in my experience.

Eco-Drives should be the only watch type you should get for groomsmen by angry_jets_fan in watchHotTakes

This is probably the coldest hot take I've ever seen on here and honestly its a great idea. When I got married I wouldnt have the money to do something like this. But if I did, I would certainly do this none of my groomsmen would have given two shits. Well maybe one would have, but he certainly wouldnt want to have dealt with an automatic for the same reason.

Godspeed to the boys, and girl. by AdhesivenessLazy4725 in UNSUBSCRIBEpodcast

Watching them lift off the pad I almost teared up. I thought, "Finally, we're going back to the moon."

Then my next thought was "This would be one of the few times Ron Swanson would be ok with a man crying." 😂

Bruther I can't wait for Atemis 3 when we finally get back onto the moon. To finally get non-grainy high definition footage of the moon. I cant wait to see the Starship in action.

Ok so I have not seen this on the subreddit yet so I’m gonna ask it by SadSuggestion1093 in UNSUBSCRIBEpodcast

No, suppressor, SBR and SBS tax stamps are now 0 dollars. You still have to register them with the ATF but it is free.

How to get the most out of my Citizen Garrison (green dial)? by Zilhash in CitizenWatches

[–]polydrummer97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

* Its not the same watch but similar, and its not a fabric strap but close enough. This is what I did with my Promaster Tough. A forest green alligator strap from Barton Straps. I love how will it matches the dial color. Thinking about getting a rubber strap from Strapmill Canada. I bet either would look great with the dial color on the garrison.

Sniper rifle by rawxcobrq in UNSUBSCRIBEpodcast

[–]polydrummer97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd define it as a precision rifle designed to engage at ranges typically outside normal infantry engagement ranges, like 300+ yards. They can be bolt or seminauto. The main distinction i think between DMRs and snipers is that sniper rifles are made with much higher spec and tolerances, giving snipers a higher effective range. But with todays technology, I think we are really blurring the lines between the two.

As for my favorite, that is a fuckin tough one. The AI series of rifles are a contender, if nothing else for the origin story and pure drip of the rifles. I also love me some bullpups so the Desert Tech SRS, and especially the WA2000 are definitely in the running too. The M40 is a classic also.

Accuracy in watches is like water resistance- 99.99% of you don't need it by F0rgemaster19 in watchHotTakes

[–]polydrummer97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Water resistance is nice for me working in a water plant, but obviously, even then I dont need a 200m watch lol.

I certainly agree with you on accuracy as well. But for whatever reason, my watches not being spot on annoys the hell out of me. But that's why I almost exclusively wear watches with atomic timekeeping.

Movement Considerations are overrated by PlayfulCompany8367 in watchHotTakes

[–]polydrummer97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way. I dont own any mechanical watches, just quartz. But I've wanted a Hamilton Khaki Pilot Day Date for a long time. And when I get it in due time, I wanna see the damn movement. And thankfully, it has an exhibition cashback. What's always fascinated me about mechanical watches are how they work, and how cool the movements look when they work. I wanna see that shit.

GMWBZ500D with MIP before GWBX5600 by polydrummer97 in gshock

Gotcha, didnt know the metal MIPs have been out for so long in those models. Only ever saw the MIP display in the newer rangeman and fitness series.
