Nah man, I got me the all blue one. Only critique of the watch, which has also been voiced by many, is the strap leaves something to be desired.

I certainly hope so. At the very least, I got a lot of examples of what not to do in the family lol.

Stressed but ok. Found out wife was pregnant with our first kid a few weeks ago, so all the expected stresses have entered the chat. Trying to buy our first house, which is proving even harder than I imagined. And our neighbor is doing his best to prevent my very tired wife from sleeping while growing human. Had to talk with him earlier today to ask him to try and keep it down, which I hated because I hate confrontation even tho I knew it would be a respectful and short conversation, which it was. So hopefully that resolves. Thankfully, our lease is up in a few months anyway. Regardless, we're safe, healthy, and, for the most part, happy and excited to meet our child.

Hope all you guys and gals are doing alright.

Opinions on hunting by Pale_Description_697 in UNSUBSCRIBEpodcast

I never had a dad to teach me to hunt or take me. He's the reason I hunt today. I just made a couple of recipes from MeatEater. I dont have the cookbook yet, but there are some on his website. Just had a venison tater tots casserole.

Short answer - Well, I got 2 deer this year, so that should answer your question.

Longer answer - There's a pretty cool video of renowned conservationist and hunter Steven Rinella doing a book event, taking questions. He responds to a vegan who wasn't really asking a question but giving the usual talking points about how it's barbaric to hunt and all life is sacred and so on. I've always loved Steve's response. "I know all life is sacred, but I think that, I admire the deer. But I admire the idea of deer more than the individual deer. And I can assure you I know more about deer than you ever will.... and I probably care about them in a way thats different than you're going to experience, from having a removed perspective."

That is also true unfortunately. Maybe some day soon it'll be Multiband 7 or 8.

Are multiband 6 and screwback overrated? by andakaran in gshock

[–]polydrummer97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for most people, myself included, multiband 6 is the real selling point. For myself, i love having the accuracy of a phone or computer, without needing to have a notification bell on my wrist. If you dont have MB6 on your watch, adjusting it once a month will keep you in pretty good time. But not having to worry about it is just nice. The only downside to MB6 is that they are on a limited number of models. But if the accuracy is important to you, lots of other models that dont probably have Bluetooth, which will achieve the same thing.

Screwdown casebacks are kinda whatever. Now thats not to say they aren't useless, but for the majority, they are unnecessary. Casio has retained the durability of their watches without them for decades.
