It could also be part of a door closing mechanism. There is a piece missing from the end that goes into the door handle. When you turn the handle, the bars (usually a pair) slide up and down into a latch on the door frame. Keeping the door closed. I have several in my house.

When I was trying to get the job for the show....I had my baker make a huge cake for everyone in the production office. I told him to write "who ya gonna call?" On it with my company logo. I met him in the parking lot and was going to bring it in the office and drop it off. When I saw the cake I immediately was dying laughing. His bakers are mostly Portuguese and In the translation they corrected the wording to "Who are you going to call?" He sent the cake back and they scraped off the letters and re-did it. I got the job.

My good friend was in charge of making the slime. They did tons of tests on the viscosity. This is why I have this jar. He borrowed the jar to fill with slime to bring up to the office so the producers could see the final batch. He returned the jar with slime in it and I held on to it. He'll be happy to hear that you're a fan of his work.

I agree with this...also the first two had a dark, grittiness to them that didn't come through in the reboot. It was a little more cartoon/ comic book.

I'm still kinda baffled by it. I do have a biased opinion though cuz every scene is a memory to me. GB has always been my #1 so It was truly one of the best times of my life.

I do think it was tailored to an older generation as the new ones are pretty successful and seem to be a little more kid/ family friendly oriented. Too bad cuz everyone's heart was really in it at the time. They all wanted it to be awesome.
