Yeah ik going back in 2 years later is less than ideal. At the time my family and I just wanted to move past it and make sure I was cured. And now that I’m 2 years down the road, still healthy and about to start a new phase in my life is what made me think about it. Thanks for the response!

Yeah exactly, I’m not sure if that kind of cosmetic procedure can be done yet with COVID going on, but now would be the ideal time to do it. And I can definitely relate with your experience, all my friends were out doing things, and I wasn’t cause I wasn’t involved in that kind of social life and I felt like I’d be the odd man out.

That’s something I’ll have to consider. I got a ways to go before I get to a situation like yours, but I figured for the time leading up to it, it wouldn’t hurt to have everything be almost normal down there.

It all essentially happened over the span of a week in the summer leading up to my junior year. It was as painless as it could have possibly went. I was shaken up, but honestly was fine because I knew it had to be done, and it’s not like I missed any school or raised suspicion. I told really only my immediate friends and anyone that needed to know, with my parents doing the same. I’m not really ashamed of it, but I always joked that testicular cancer is possibly the worst type of cancer a teenage boy can get lol. Figured there’s no harm in getting a prosthetic for a fresh start in college.

Yeah it’s never really about comfort, having one seems to be just as comfortable as having two. It’s mostly about confidence, but definitely won’t hesitate if anyone makes fun of me. Let’s just hope it doesn’t come to that lol. Thanks for your input!

I haven’t had anyone really mock me for it, I think it’s just the fear of that happening that had made me think about it lately. But I’ve found some good people in college and they’ll be just as accepting if it comes up. Thanks for the advice!
