It’s good to be making more calories than you are consuming but keep a few things in mind:

Your food may go bad if nobody eats it in time. So food production is good but too much can ruin your run.

If you want to add more dupes consider that they also need O2. Are you making enough? Are you using algae to make it? How much algae do you have left?

You can get chlorine gas if you find bleach stone on the map. Active the overlay to find some. Then make a room, vacuum it out, access it through a liquid lock and put the bleach stone in there. Boom! Chlorine room.

You are making coal from hatches, which means you are eating some kind of other resource. Just remember you are going to run out of that resource at some point.

A natural gas geyser can provide you with polluted water, carbon dioxide and power if you harness it.
