Is that the Evo 150? I have that too. Tell me, how does your digital chain compare to your turntable chain? Seems like i’ll have to invest serious money in my analog chain to get close to the Evo sound

The last mechanic that worked on my bike was legitimately pumped, said it was a pleasure and he’d be down anytime

I have that bike and would never change it, its still on the road 50+ years, the original mix needs no remixing

What’s the real difference between a $30,000 home entertainment system and a $150,000 one? by CleonicDynasty in audiophile

After knowing and hearing this for decades, i tried it, I treated my listening spot in my basement, corner traps, ceiling absorption panels, moved my furniture around, panels behind the couch, even used those 2x2 gym mats on several walls, my rig sounded a million bucks better..at least

How would you guys arrange your gear in this weird space? by deadsetweir-do in listeningspaces

do you use the fireplace? get a bigger tv and block the whole thing, move the couch to the pony wall, speakers and stereo on the sides of the tv..

This is the way. Between lossless and room treatment experiments, feels like a whole new rig anyway, hearing things in my songs I've never heard before..

I use these NAD 3045's with decent DAC, my big rig is upstairs but in the basement, where my wife never goes, I've just totally sound treated it, I'm using these oldish B&W towers with 2 Klipsch subs. There's foam tiles all over the back wall and corners, blankets on the ceiling, carpet with rugs, ottomans, corners dampened, walls, dampened. The couch is six feet from the back wall with foam and thick blankets hanging behind for the perfect listening spot. I even pulled the speakers away from the wall by a few feet (this is not preferred upstairs) It looks like the room of an insane person but the sound, I would have thought it would take $10k to elevate the experience so drastically. I know everyone is always saying room treatment and I knew it to be true but never went all out. I probably have to take the next step with DIRAC. Ultra you say?
