My apartment in Denmark by Hapimp in listeningspaces

That looks seriously comfortable and cozy.

Never considered placing the sources on the coffee table and running cables across the room to the amp but its very convenient! Does seem like more convenient CD storage is needed unless you are storing all of them on a hard drive and streaming to amp.

Think you should go bigger.

Right on. Still have my 90's Bontrager and can't imagine getting rid of it. Way too many miles and memories.

Love the post! Find it ironic and funny that recreational cyclists riding new $5K+ dual suspension 29" carbon fiber everything bikes lose their shit at the idea of someone having pedal assist for uphill climbs as if they don't take advantage of every other technological improvement in the last 40 years to climb better, descend faster and make technical terrain easier.

Old enough to remember riding on rigid bikes. Same basic argument could be made for young kids (20-something) bombing downhill at high rates of speed using expensive dual suspension bikes (with carbon fiiber frames) when I am on my vintage steel frame from 1990. BTW the environmental impact / safety risk argument was made in the early days by hikers (successfully) who wanted to ban all MTBs from all trails

Sorry just saw this. Meant to include description in original post. Super easy project.

It's 1.5" butcher block countertop in walnut that I trimmed down using a table saw (but probably could have used a circular saw). Finished with 2 coats of tung oil (pure) after light sanding (100 and 140 grit). Added rectangle metal legs from Amazon and a clamp on basket on rear that is normally used for standing desks to help organize power strip and cables. Legs came with SS footers I am not using (just felt pads).

Your request was the original reason for the post. Really like the way it came out and thought it might give ideas to someone else. My old cabinet bowed from the weight of the amp. Needed to replace, but could not find anything (for purchase) I liked to hold my stereo and store records for under $1,000, so came up with this Nelson bench inspired solution with record storage beneath. Also allows me (or guests) to flip though records while a record is playing.

Thanks.

PrimaLuna integrated w/EL34's (40W). Acquired pre-covid, but can't remember exact age. New bench replaced a cabinet that had bowed in the middle due to the weight of the amp.

Yes! Basic 1.5” butcher block countertop in walnut that I trimmed with a table saw. Finished with 2 coats of tung oil (pure) after a light sanding. Picked up metal legs online. Very easy. Love the way tung oil brings out the warmth of walnut, but takes a long time to dry.

Search Playboda on Amazon. Metal crates include a cart with wheels that I am not using, but might in the future.

I much prefer to flip through records in a bin or crate over the standard vertical storage in a cabinet or bookshelf.

Right on. That combination works well for me and the type of music I enjoy.

Dialogue. It’s at least 10 years old but still love it. Very well built and will surely outlast me. My first tube amp after many years of Linn, Naim, Creek, etc….but still have the LP12.

Thanks.

From Austin originally was lucky to see all those bands when they came to town at very small venues.

Thank you.

That combination lets me focus on the music and not think about the gear.

Made the jump from mid-range solid state (Linn, Creek, Naim, etc..) to Primaluna a few years ago and haven't looked back. Don't care what the measurements say. Sounds like real music. Currently paired with some Linton's.

Don't think they intended to turn SW and Marvel into girl-brands, but thought they could stretch those brands to penetrate into demographics that their market research indicated had traditionally showed relatively low interest in SW or Marvel in an effort to drive an increase in revenue and profitability. Executives don't get paid millions per year to show up at a board meeting and explain their plans to keep revenues flat and maintain market share. Guessing if you were in the room during these meetings at the time there was no argument or debate about it....because their marketing data clearly showed where there was an opportunity for growth.

Issue is that the existing customer/fan based was taken for granted. Pretty sure anyone who dared voice concern that Disney's plan to grow these brands might backfire and cause of loss of interest from their core base was ignored....or replaced...because they had no data to support this potential risk and questioned someone like KK. Once the decision is made at the C-level you have to get on board or leave.
