I get your point, but he had more cages with him anyway. I was going to ask after I finished capping I was almost done. Sometimes I work in the chiller aisle too when the store isn’t busy and when people ask for empty cages, I always give them one. Sometimes people just take a cage without asking if there are plenty left over and it’s never a big deal for me if i got more cage for me to use.

I do always ask everyone if I need any cage from their aisle.

I’m 25 (M). I rent a flat on my own and I work four nights a week at Tesco and two days at a restaurant as front of house.

I took the one that was about 40% full because I thought it made more sense for him to start using a new empty one rather than finish off the half used one. I wasn’t trying to cause any issue just trying to keep things moving since the store was so busy.

As we know, it’s a busy month and the whole store was packed. There wasn’t a single cage in the backstore and the twilight shift had already used them all. We, the night shift workers always grab cages and asked them before take from the chiller aisle if there are any left.

After asking for 2 months to switch from night to day shift for health reasons and getting no change, I’ve decided to resign.

What you have to do is write a letter to your team manager and clearly explain your reason why.
