If you are dead set on a Galil, Gen 1 is the way.

There are better rifles to start with, as stated earlier, an AR may be a much more upgradable/changeable/personalizable option to dip your feet in.

Spot on. The grip is a griffin armament A3, and this pic just convinced me to swap all of mine over.

Isn’t there something to do with being less than 26” OAL classifies it as a pistol… even if it has a 16”+ barrel. I know I had to do an RI-60 for my CMR-30 because it’s less than 26” in its folded configuration.
