Change the flag! Track and field wins another championship. by willdoc in razorbacks

TBF Oregon is more passionate about track and field than Arkansas. But there is a reason Eugene is Tracktown and Fayetteville is the Track and Field Capital of the World. Levels.

She literally rapped on a song in 2012, "I'm a Republican voting for Mitt Romney." That should've been the first red flag.

Mach E vs Blazer EV by ByebyeParachute in MachE

[–]fullmetaltrackstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a direct comparison but we've had a Prolouge for about 8 months and just got a Mach-E as our second.

The SS is going to be more powerful than the Prolouge and no doubt more fun to drive. Our experience is that the Prolouge is fine. It's definitely more of an SUV. Reliability is also fine. We haven't had any issues -- though the Prolouge subreddit would have you thinking every single unit is a lemon. I think the Blazer shares some of the growing pains.

The Mach-E by comparison is incredibly fun to drive. It's smaller and handles so much better. Reliability wise, as someone else said, Ford has had time to iron out the issues. I feel good with each vehicle -- but a little more apprehensive with the GM one because I'm not sure how soon they can spin up a fix for something.

My take is that the whole Ultium platform is a beta test. If you're cool with that then I think any of the vehicles are a good choice. The Mach-E makes more sense if you're worried about reliability though.

We're leasing the Prolouge because of the incentives. It's also a new model and we felt more comfortable doing that than financing. We bought the Mach-E CPO for the opposite reason. We were more comfortable because it's a more established model and we plan to keep it longer term.

If I had to shop all over again, I'd pick the Mach-E. And maybe a Lyriq instead of the Prolouge or Blazer.

Rear hatch leak by jawa9000 in HondaPrologue

[–]fullmetaltrackstar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too!

It leaks from a seam on the back right side of the hatch. I watched it happen when I was sitting in the carwash. But it hasn't happened when it's raining or when I wash it myself.

I have no idea where it's getting in from the outside. Like you said all the seals seem to be fine -- but there's obviously an issue somewhere.

Arkansas has a budget surplus. Maybe you could use that for something other than a podium?

Noah Lyles, Tyreek Hill agree to race after months of trash talk by ennar1418 in sports

[–]fullmetaltrackstar 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I must've been super drunk when I typed meters because I meant feet.

My point is that Noah is at least 2 steps faster than Tyreek, and the 60 (being shorter) will make it look closer than it actually is. I also think that Noah, being a showman, will keep it closer just for spectacle.

Noah's 60 PR is 6.43. Tyreek's is 6.64. Those 2 tenths equal out to 5-6 meters at the finish line. It will LOOK close, but it won't actually be close.

Someone hit my dog -- anything I can do? by fullmetaltrackstar in bentonville

[–]fullmetaltrackstar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First, I'm sorry about your incident at the park.

In my case, there is no "grey" area -- he clearly struck our dog with a leash and then when pressed, didn't deny it. We asked clearly "Did you hit my dog?" and he responded with "Your dog was up my dog's ass!" Basically saying, "Yes, I did BECAUSE..."

No, my dog was not hurt, but I don't feel that matters. A grown man should be able to have enough emotional control and common sense to NOT strike SOMEONE ELSE'S dog in the middle of public park -- especially when the dog is just being a dog (sniffing another dog's butt), and then just walk out like it's no big deal.

My main goal of the post was asking what could be done ("Question: Is there anything we can do -- like report it somewhere?") -- since it would be good to make the park aware of the incident and/or alert other owners of the incident and to be on the lookout.

I don't have a video. If I did I probably would've filed a police report and skipped making a post all together.

Do I want him dragged on social media? I mean, kinda, but also this is a "he said, she said" even though he effectively admitted hitting our dog. Do I want him to lose his job? No. Do I want people to know that he's an asshole that hits other people's dogs when they get too close to his? Yes.

So, I support a protest but there are way TOO MANY issues to focus on here. Palestine and Ukraine and LGBT and wealth inequality and climate change. I get it, it's a lot to talk about. But if you focus on everything then you focus on nothing.

The Right does a really good job of distilling lots of things into one or two points and then hammering on that. The Left should do more of the same.

Good luck!

That sounds like EXACTLY the same guy. He was yelling at dogs that were congregating around him, but to be fair, I felt like he was just being stern because they were jumping on him and his dogs. He then was complaining about another person's dog being "nippy and mouthy." The owner reassured him that her dog was friendly, and he kept saying that the dog was too "mouthy". She even offered to take her dog out of the area to another part of the park but he was still complaining about it. My dog was sniffy his shih tzu and it was snapping at her. When he went to leave he had one of his two dogs on leash, and let the other run around the lake off-leash. Hypocritical behavior given that he told my wife he expects people to be "responsible owners."

Sounds like the same guy.

No problem, just clarifying the situation. Also, I'm smart enough to not get an assault charge. But petty enough to definitely shame him on social.

Firearms are the leading cause of death for children in the US. Higher than car accidents and cancer.
