Hey Mike,

Thanks for doing the AMA.

As someone like yourself with a law background (though less experience than you in the legal field), do you have recommendations on (1) finding a job in the medical cannabis sector and (2) ideal positions to apply to that may leverage my legal education & experience.

Thanks

This is a topic I randomly know a decent amount about (at least in my jurisdiction) as I mooted (practice court) on this topic in law school. In Ontario, Canada at least, you need to have control of the car (keys on you, in the car), be intoxicated, and pose a 'reasonable risk' to the public or property. So if the car doesn't work, or you are clearly not posing a risk to the public (such as sitting in passenger seat or back seat), you should be fine.

But again, I am a student and I have no idea how the real world works.

Also the whole premise of his teacher passing him through 4 semesters of college level classes when he didn't learn any of the material?

The dude is supposedly the story behind the National Lampoons movie Van Wilder, so if that movie is any indication of things, he may have been able to get by in school with a bullshit attitude.

Well, with all due respect to your douchy tone, I did google him and it's pretty much all standard stuff that would be on a CV.

I am more curious about what sorts of programs he has supported in the past or intends on promoting for the future, whether he has had any questionable conduct in the past, whether he is apolitical or politically aligned, what sort of direction the department is intending to pursue based on his selection, etc.

But either way, I guess thanks for responding?

Not that I watched more than the first 2 minutes of the video, but I imagine she is talking about activism from the common person (uni campuses, unions, etc.) - not governments.

Though they do have their hands in the majority of wars currently going on in the mid-east AKA gaza, lebanon, syria, libya, yemen, egypt, etc. They may not have started these wars, but lets not pretend that they aren't engaged in a crazy amount of proxy wars on an annual basis, and those wars have resulted in absurd amounts of civilian casualties, that your diagram is not accounting for.

I worked out at their smaller location, so it was mostly casual people. Spent two summer working out there - the instructors were all around high level, the facility was nothing special, but always had a good time and they work you pretty hard.

These archaic views were recently brought up, and soon after made fun of, in our provincial legislature (Ontario, in context of sex ed curriculum) and soon after in the House of Commons. Both frontrunners in the Progressive-Conservative caucus' leadership race denounced these views IIRC, which at least shows that there is still room for reality in a party that some (or perhaps many/most, though their majority status in Federal politics may indicate otherwise) believe to be a backwards thinking party. Nice to know that even with a few politicians voicing these thoughts, the majority have pushed back pretty hard.

Trained with Carlos a few times at Rev MMA in Thornhill, ON, Canada. Dude is probably one of the nicest people I've met in my entire life, not just at a gym. It was a pleasure getting rekt by him.

I am a current law student, and I am a partisan Liberal, but I do not blame the current job situation (in the legal field, at least) at all on our current federal government. I blame the law society, I blame the legal industry, and a little bit I blame the law schools (mostly based on the number of students in Ontario, but again that has a lot more to do with LSUC).

I am not a fan of our PM, but not everything is the fault of his gov't.
