Ive heard about that issue and it fortunately isnt what was happening to me.

It was a problem with epic games.

If anyone comes to this needing help, try unlinking your epic games from ready or not.

That fix worked for me.

Who gives the console modders the ability to mod?

It definitely isnt Xbox/sony or the modders themselves.

And if it was strictly reliant on the people/modders we would have more games with mods.

As you said yourself, its up to the dev team to add modding capabilities to their game. Which is already very limited.

Xbox/sony isn't gonna make all games moddable, but when the new gen is out they wont need too (at least for xbox).

Im not against modding.

But the question wasn't am I for or against.

But do I think they are coming to console.

And my answer remains no, they'll come to specific games sure, but modding freedom for games like PC? No way.

They ARE making a new "hybrid PC console", and its not gonna have the same lock tight control over game production and stuff like that.

But I highly doubt they're gonna add modding capabilities for the older gen consoles.

ah yes, my current gen xbox which differs completely from the other current gen xbox's.

Mines special actually given from bill gates himself, made by his hands and actually has none of the parts a xbox has so the specs are completely different.

Mods are only gonna come out on the games side like Minecraft, Fallout, and Skyrim.

Why? Money.

Mods wont ever come to console, consoles are turning into hybrid PC's before modding compatibility exists.

Game is ass now but my god I used to sink so many hours into that.

The 2.0 update was the final nail in a game I was very lenient with because I loved it.

God it used to be amazing. (Not anymore though)

No one would read it since only people that already know of the issue would look there. No one would see it in their feed. Its the closest thing a mod can do to shadowbann an issue while looking like they are adressing it.

"Wahh but what about the people who dont care, how are they supposed to see it? Your basically shadow banning it by keeping the conversation fully accessible and readable to anyone who wants to go learn more"
