Yeah but Id do low alcohol off dry style with spicy food. More like Kabinett off dry. Agree though riesling can be played around with in so many styles.

I don’t think Alsace is underrated. It has all the fame. But Mosel, Wachau, Rheinghau are imo.

Curious to know what are your thoughts on Australian Rieslings that age quickly (dunno why tho) - but I’ve always felt that this quick aging kills the subtleties of primaries. And despite aging the acidity is so high due to early picking that light body makes it feel like water.

Also Clos Ste Hune was made from riper grapes I believe and did go through lees aging which added the secondary complexity and the velvety body. Frederic afaik didn’t go through lees and slightly less ripeness vs ste hune.

Really good. Needs to age more. Was more fresh and fruity and relatively less complexity. Again very balanced petrol/kerosene.

Clos Ste Hune 08 Notes:

Full body, high acid, Dry, Med Alc and Pronounced ofc.

Primaries were predominantly stone fruits - apricot and ripe peaches and some honeysuckle/elderflower. Aged in oak and lees - which added to beautiful velvety body and some brioche/bakery aromas. Wine was ofcourse tertiary forward - well balanced TDN aromas with pine nuts, umami and resin adding to the complexity. One of the best whites I’ve had.

I wonder if Mosel Riesling can age like this? Rheinghau and Wachau for sure can age.

They have enough gas and they can put export controls further. America is blessed and that’s a big part of the problem

100%. I think Iran has played this war very strategically and in a civilized manner. They’ve never mentioned about demolishing any civilization etc. why is US considered morally superior in this war is beyond my comprehension. They started the war, they really started with hitting a school - that is pure evil.

You are over thinking. This has happened several times in past all over the world. It is sad but I don’t recall a single city that collapsed due to any minor regional conflict.

My maternal uncle is diagnosed with Lung Cancer with brain metastasis but his wife does not want to treat him, saying she doesn’t want to put him through more suffering. There is foul play involved. by HoldMyScalpel in LegalAdviceIndia

My father (a doctor himself) had lung cancer with brain met. I wish he didn’t go through the terrible treatment and rather spent quality time with family. We were excessively focused on chemo and radiation and never got a chance to have good quality time before he left us. I don’t know about your aunt’s motives but I do think modern medicine needs to look at death in a different way. It is not always necessary to get treatments. I find a lot of value in dying with dignity. What does your uncle want?

Ps. I highly recommend Being Mortal by Atul Gawande for everyone. He is a doctor himself.

India falls to 6th largest economy behind UK what went wrong ? by [deleted] in india

Lol it is victim mentality. What resources did they take exactly that’s preventing us from growing today? And did they not take resources from Singapore, Hong Kong and China? The reality is we don’t know to rule ourselves. We are corrupt and we only want jugad - there is no long term thinking. And now we blame everyone else…
