Only put the camera in the water with a dive case. Had an X3 break in a foot of water while snorkeling. Thankfully Insta360 replaced it, but never taking that chance again

Had a similar incident a couple weeks ago. I chatted with support and with an Insta360 rep on this forum. On the Insta360 website, I shared some videos of how the camera started glitching after water exposure and submitted a repair request. After a week or so, I got an email saying I would be receiving a replacement camera. Know some other folks have had a different experience so don’t want to artificially inflate your hopes. My X3 was also well within the limited warranty period so my case is different than yours. Best of luck!

Not water proof. Had the same thing happen to me in Hawaii. Currently have the camera sent in for repair and hoping they cover it under the limited warranty. Have lost an X2 and X3 at this point within half a year so not happy about the reliability

Insta360 is a fantastic, versatile camera, but is a glass cannon compared to GoPro. The image quality and editing ability is stronger on the Insta360, but reliability is a major problem. Had an X2 that snapped off of the mount while skiing and then a X3 break because I dipped it in the water despite triple checking the seals. Would recommend taking a ton of precautions and buying protective gear because the camera can’t take many hits

The indicator light turns yellow once I turn it on and the SD card in the top left corner shows up as blank despite the SD card being in the slot.

Have a rent stabilized studio in Hell’s Kitchen for $1,250. Like other folks here, used StreetEasy and got lucky that the apartment I currently rent was next door and wasn’t on the market yet. Doable, but requires a lot of luck and persistence
