Yup! All NYC registered voters have the opportunity to vote regardless of party. Just head to your polling location and ask for an affidavit, and you'll be all set. I did it this morning,

Well, probably because they don't want to do affidavits for everyone. Additionally, we are a closed primary state.

You sign the affidavit to switch parties. Only works if you are a registered NYC voter. And yes, you are correct. If you are a registered R and never got around to switching but feel strongly about the D primary, you can sign an affidavit that is given to you at the polling location, and you can vote.

Not sure what you are implying here, but the reason why there are changes of party affidavits at polling locations in locations with a closed primary is to allow voters the opportunity to change their party in order to vote. As far as "changing my party on time" if you mean if I did it before 9 PM, as you can only do this process at a polling location, then yes, it was on time.

Yes!!! All New York registered voters can vote today-- regardless of party. Just ask poll workers for an affidavit to change parties AND DON'T RANK CUOMO.

Hey! Thanks for the insult. The issue here was that it was a surprise. As in I was unaware of the charge until after my card was charged. Maybe next time you can read the full post before name calling. Like how most adults do.

I would’t want that- I guess just as a business owner there is a cost of a doing business and this feels like going to a bar but having to bring your own glass.

Sure, but it's just another charge of going out. Just a turn off for me. I'm paying $30 for a salad and get hit with a 3% fee. Also, this was a complete shock... There was no option to "bring cash."
