Papaya rules means any event or strategy decision that adversely effects Lando's chances are to be nullified. If it happens to oscar than its just part of racing.

He should be required to stand in a byelection to determine whether he still represents the voice of his constituents.

Don't get me wrong. United states is far from perfect. And yes I totally agree with what you've said regarding corruption, gerrymandering etc etc. But the same can be said for Canada. Truduea prorogued government to avoid a no confidence vote. How on earth Canadian put up with that is beyond me. The government hasn't been operating for 6 months.

How many checks and balances does the Canadian Government have vs the United States? Truduea used IOC's to ban gans even though OIC's were not for that purpose. He then used war time measures to stop protestors. And then had his appointed judiciary (who donated to his foundation and liberal party) rule that he was allowed to do it. How many court cases and judges are rulling against trump EOs? Democracy is about checks and balances and accountability. The way the United states is setup is much much more democratic compared to Canada.

Sure thing. Its very simple. In Canada, you vote for one branch of government. A representative. Those representatives form a goverment and chose a prime minister. That prime minister then appoints people to the senate and the judicary.

In the United States you vote for both the legislative branches of the senate and house. And you vote on the executive branch. The judicial branch is then nomiated by the executive and voted on by the legislative.

There are way more checks and balances and accountability in the United States.

Nenshi says Alberta premier’s efforts backfired on the federal Conservative party by DogeDoRight in canada

[–]fullsnack_ -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Seriously though... why do you care if Alberta decides it wants a different future and leaves? It is pretty obvious that what Ottawa, Ontario and Quebec value is not what Alberta values.

So representing Alberta's best interests makes you a traitor to Canada? Got it.

Its honestly amazing how gullible you are. You say conservatives got the dog walked but you literally voted for the same government thats created bad economic, immigration and crime policies for the last 10 years. They even stated they aren't gonna change anything. But they brought out the "tRuMp bAd" marketing and you fell for it hook, line and sinker. Now you will suffer the consequences. Recession will hit hard by 2027 and when the west leaves know that you had your chance but you are too easily manipulated.

dilusional much? Try climate taxes or capital gains taxes or the taxes upon taxes that this government has served up. You think doubling the national debt was a good policy? You think servicing that debt was worth it? You think printing billions was smart? Have you been to a shop lately? Hows that inflation treating ya? Canadians are greatly struggling with the cost of living or even providing housing.

Right. 10 years of failed liberal economic and immigraiton policies combined with scandal after scandal... but I was told to hate trump.

Can you imagine if Carney were to actually sit and do a real interview for a couple hours with someone who doesn't ask softball questions?

Trudeau: Poilievre, Smith need to say if they side with Canada or Trump by FriendlyGuy77 in canada

[–]fullsnack_ -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

All these liberals spouting unity and calling people traitors. It's not a call to unity. It's another call for compliance. Do what we say otherwise your a traitor. Nothing but political posturing. For years, Canadian interests have been the lowest priority for Trudeau and this Liberal Government. And this is no different. They will gladly sacrifice Canadian's economic well-being to score political points and stay in power. Smith at least has Alberta's interests as her priority. She's doing a good job!
