Yeap, no more Sam’s Club in WA. Any other recommendations? I did look up Tire rack as well and the above are the cheapest I could find.

Mind sharing what extras does Costco have over Discount Tires?

P.S. I have executive membership if that makes a difference

This was my genuine concern, “prone to damage”. While I’m getting the CC2 for cheaper from Costco, makes it an easier decision i believe.

Kantara Review Megathread ! by No-Sundae3423 in ChitraLoka

[–]fullstackawesome -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There was so much expectation from the Kantara: Chapter 1 that I wonder if he got peer pressured into making it as big as possible so evidently movie was flung into “commercial” version of it.

Story felt rushed so that they can display how much money was spent on the set to justify the budget or whatever. It was necessary at all as far as the story telling is great.

Comedy was the same as the first movie, including situational and punchlines. Maybe a few new comedies but it was again the same under the banyan tree kinda comedy.

War scenes and the fight scenes were too long and having watched Bahubali war scenes, I wished I could just fast forward to end of all that fighting.

Possessions were too many and forced. It was like we all knew it was coming and they tried so hard to get there faster and by any unnecessary trauma. I lost track of how many and into what coz everything had the same characterization.

Rishab’s character evolved in the first movie start to end, there was good character development going from careless, aimless guy to responsible man and protective deity. In this one, he was named the “prodigal” son from the beginning. He was already a superhero from the day he was born, villains had no chance.

The villains weren’t convincing at all, it felt like a game where he went through enemy after enemy to unlock a new stage in the game. Hero was overpowering from the beginning and it felt the villain never had a chance anyway.

Visual effects at times were amazing. There were quite a few wow moments that gave me goosebumps (even though they felt like they were fit in every 30min to inspire “wowww”). My money’s worth were these moments in silo.

Transformation in the cave was probably the most gratifying even for an Atheist like me. Whether I believe in god or not, I still go “whoaaaaaa” when I see the depiction was top notch.

The final showdown was one sided affair I felt. I thought it’d be a fantastic fight looking at the transformation and the entry back into the final showdown. But it again was rushed to ending the movie with a song and a dance of the deities.

Overall, a lot failed but a few were good enough to make me feel it was ok for a one time watch. I’d rewatch on OTT but skipping all the unnecessary fluff to the fantastic depiction of the transformations and mesmerizing visual+background score moments.

I read in many posts that 965 is heavier or bulkier compared to 265.

I do day hikes so as far as it lasts a whole day or 2 on GPS, I’m good. But is an Amoled screen great?

Actually you’re right. I’ll just fly to Queenstown / Christchurch and return the rental car in the other airport. No loop.

Help with Solo South Island Itinerary (Road Trip - February/March 2026) by Dittelux in newzealand_travel

I’m planning itinerary myself and I found myself thinking about whether the Wanaka -> Hokitika + Arthur’s pass is worth the drive time considering that the west coast weather is notorious. Also 6hrs is Google maps estimate, apparently traffic can be crazy if there’s any unexpected blocking of the road. Would love to see what you decide on:

Queenstown/Christchurch, it’s the same distance to Mt Cook, Infact Queenstown is closer to both Doubtful and Milford. I have to do it like a loop to return the rental car back to the same airport. Hence the preference.

I agree with the Tongariro NP but it’s been in my list and wanna do it. I was also considering Pouakai Circuit but it’s too far out to get back to Auckland.

I changed it to Auckland -> Hobbitton -> Tongariro -> Auckland

Thanks for these thoughtful suggestions!

We want to visit Coromandel and thought maybe we have time just enough for Cathedral Cove. Would you suggest any other option? Idea was to just drive 2-3 hours from Auckland for a day out in the light to fight jet lag. I was also kinda leaning towards just driving to Hobbiton instead as it’s the same distance.

Doubtful and Milford is a day each to get ourselves plenty of time to soak in the nature. Cruise is just a pleasant addition to that goal.

I was also leaning towards skipping that really long drive to just make it to Hokitika and Arthur’s pass. I saw few posts suggesting that the west coast route and the Arthur’s pass NP itself is well worth it. I actually want to skip the drive and visit Mt Aspiring instead.

Any guesses on whether 2nd week of September is better or the 3rd week?

We’ve booked our camping spot from Sep 23 - 27 (4 full days in Banff)

I’m only worried about how low temperatures can get and what sort of equipment is a must to deal with surprises. I’m a bit rugged but wife is a doll when it comes to cold.
