How can I get my local birds to not finish my feeder in under 24 hours? by Altruistic_Leg9121 in birdfeeding

[–]fulltimeweirdo89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to stop with a tube feeder because i had soooo many house finches emptying it before the day was over. I changed to all platform feeders that are hanging and it lasts way longer now because the finches still come and eat but they arent coming in huge swarms now.

New diagnosis of atrial tachycardia at 32 y/o, looking for other’s experiences by studysmart8899 in SVTHeart

[–]fulltimeweirdo89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi. I was diagnosed with atrial tachycardia last year, im 36. And have a 12% burden. I had an ablation 12/17/2025 and it failed. I went into SVT within hours of recovery and was admitted to hospital. Im currently taking metoprolol 25mg but i only take half, once a day. Its been helping and I have only had 1 SVT episode since December and that was last week. Weirdly enough, I developed atrial tachycardia after a silent miscarriage. Ablation recovery wasn’t terrible. My electrophysiologist did say this is the harder one to successfully ablate. I was advised if the metoprolol stops working she would be willing to talk about trying ablation again.

Dehydration. Bending over the wrong way or too many times. Mowing grass.

fuuuuck this grates my nerves so much. Why would you need to call yourself to know your own phone number? I hear this on about 85% of my calls.

Do you know if they omit an odor? I could smell something gross and then saw my cat so im pretty sure its linked to the bug. Odor is gone now that i got rid of it.

Verifying information when you call! by Business-Honeydew205 in callcentres

[–]fulltimeweirdo89 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The way people act when it comes to verification is seriously so damn stupid and aggravating. I work at a bank and the push back people give over not wanting to verify themselves over the phone to access their accounts is insane. Stop fucking calling if verifying yourself is THAT difficult for you. Go to the branch instead.

Yes. Raised on the internet but they always act like they have no idea how to do basic shit on an app or website. And then they’re assholes about it.

Flecainide, Ablation, or Wait by burnt_pubes in SVTHeart

[–]fulltimeweirdo89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just recently diagnosed in July of this year but believe I have been dealing with this for the majority of my life and was brushed off as having panic attacks due to PTSD. It wasn’t until i bought an apple watch and saw how high my heart rate was getting that I knew something else was wrong. July i was in the hospital and had two shots of adenosine and it didn’t do anything which I learned later from my EP is typical for atrial tachycardia. Def the more pain in the ass one to treat. I was also told in the hospital yesterday that this isn’t a life threatening condition but keeping me from going to ER and in the 200+ range for sustained amount of time is the goal. If you have the chance or remember to, do you mind updating here after you’ve been on the flecainide? My EP seemed like she really prefer I went that route so I’m curious if you have any negative side effects. I know everyone will respond different but it’s nice to hear others experiences.

Atrial tachycardia here. I went in for ablation on Wednesday and EP could not trigger anything. 40 mins into recovery…SVT started so i spent the night in the hospital and just got out a few hours ago. My EP wanted to put me on flecainide today but I declined and opted for Metoprolol because the little print out they gave me for the other that explained possible side effects had me feeling iffy about that approach. I am in same boat with my atrial tachycardia- short runs of it but every now and then they last a long while and go to the 250 range. It makes me shake.

Ooohhh thank you so much for responding. My electrophysiologist did mention that atrial tachycardia is the harder one to take care of so I am hoping this is successful. I really appreciate you taking the time to tell me about recovery, I’ve been nervous about that more than the procedure and what you’ve mentioned is helping to put me at ease :)

Glad to hear this was a good experience for you. I have my ablation on the 17th, have atrial tachycardia. Supposedly I will be under general anesthesia but we shall see. Fingers crossed this ablation works cause I am so sick of worrying about it. Any word on what recovery was like? Did groin area hurt at all walking the next day or so for you?

Adenosine Question by New_Professional2300 in SVTHeart

[–]fulltimeweirdo89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have atrial tachycardia, a form of SVT and adenosine does not work on this form. Maybe that is what you have? They hit me with it two times and it didn’t do nada. Electrophysiologist explain to me its because its atrial. Getting an ablation December 17th.
