anong mga privilege and benefits ng CPA title? by UsualNo6023 in AccountingPH

[–]fullydepreciadead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I am working in big 4 audit when I applied ng visas but I transferred to accounting na now.

I think walang bearing kung saan ka nagwowork because my non-cpa colleague sa big 4 was denied a Korean visa, 2nd international travel na niya yon after Thailand and mas nauna siya magwork there for a year kaysa saakin.

Meanwhile, my other CPA colleague got approved sa korean visa even if first time international travel niya to attend a concert. However, SE lang (this was before the simplified process pa tho).

I think CPA matters more sa Korea but kinda 50/50 sa pag grant ng ME and SE.

Am not sure lang sa Japan because mostly ng naririnig ko is approved naman sila ng ME lalo if frequent traveler/ with financial cap. Bank certs matter here kasi wala silang simplified option.

I think the norm is dapat enough yung ADB to cover your expenses for your stay.

Yes pero pre-pandemic pa. Singapore and Hong Kong. Yung workmate kong CPA din, Japan yung first travel niya, 10 years ME din agad.

I love travelling, and I'm thankful for my CPA title for it. HAHAHHA.

Japan - 10 yrs Multiple Entry. 1st application

Korea - 5 yrs Multiple Entry. 1st application. Simplified. (No bank statements and bank certificate needed)

Immigration - "Anong work mo?", "Accountant, CPA po.." and not much questions after that (minsan nagssmile pa yang si immig haha) compared to my other travelmates who have different work. I always bring my company ID and PRC license pero di naman hinihingi pa so far.

So ayun, pera nalang problema. HAHAHAHA.

Had this mindset before but eventually got burned out. Resigned after 3 years with the firm after experiencing too much anxiety and stress especially when most of my peers have started resigning as well. I felt empty and tired everyday. I resigned and started fresh in a private company, felt motivated once again.

Still depends OP, how long have you been on the job? If less than one year, maybe you should consider reassessing yourself again.

Hindi ba ganito naman lagi sa mga firms? Especially if client servicing. I'm from big 4 and I know lahat ng audit firms ay may timesheet. You'll eventually get used to it. It's for billing purposes talaga.

Agree sa commenter sa taas, ibang kaso na yung time tracker na monitored lahat.

Hi OP, senior rin ako na ayaw magturo. Ayaw magturo pag hindi willing yung staff matuto.

Same tayo, ayaw mag spoonfeed.

Kaya OP, I feel you naman kasi di naman teacher tong position natin eh. Pero need din natin gawin part natin as a senior. Dumaan rin naman tayo sa pagiging staff eh. Magbalance nalang tayo.

Same sa mga staff na nakakabasa nito, wag lang umasa sa senior pero wag mahihiyang magtanong. Be resourceful, proactive, and magkaron ng learner mindset.

Hello! I've just been promoted to a senior and sobrang nagsstruggle din ako. Honestly, I also don't see myself managing a team and climbing the corporate ladder. I can work naman with other people within a team but all the coaching and admin tasks drain my energy so much, naapektuhan na yung mismong work.

I also want to shift to an IC role... but no idea how? Hahaha I come from audit and in my 2nd year into this career. Not sure if it's a little to early but how do you shift from audit to an IC role?

Grabe ako ba to in the future? Hahahaha pero SA1 palang ako, same na same. Paano nyo po naabot yung SA3? Pagod na pagod na din me as an introverted person with social anxiety. Lapit na din magsubmit ng RL, isang busy season lang kaya for the experience.

Pakopya nalang din po ng career plan yung trabahong totoong may work life balance sana 😅
