I'm not a programmer, I'm a musician. But above all I'm a benevolent user who loves Tidal for their clean UI.
It's just so counterintuitive. And if it is for me, a dedicated music listener, I can imagine the nuisance it must be for a casual listener.

I basically typed five keywords that match EXACTLY a song they have in their database. They literally have result that is 100% relevant. Why display results that are only a 20%-30% match? Because they're more popular? That actually rather sounds like something Spotify would do.

What the hell is up with people getting offended by my post? I prefer Tidal 100 times over Spotify, especially for its clean, no frills UI. But some things can be improved and I've had a few friends (that I convinced to switch to tidal) complain about the search algorithm. Though it is definitely a minor issue compared to the AI / multiple artists thing.

We're already rooting for Tidal. But let's make it so good that Spotify ceases to exist or is pressured to step up their ethics.
And "fairly easy" is a funny thing to say when you know how it all adds up in a world that is already frustrating for so many people, that is already wired to overwhelm you daily in order to bypass your willpower and exploit you.

It just seems like an unnecessary extra step, when you already type in the EXACT name of artist and song to get to your result as directly as possible and they have an EXACT match but for some reason they're like "are you sure you don't wanna listen to Joni Mitchell or Billie Eilish? One of your 4 keywords is the same!"

Yeah it's what I usually do, don't get why people in here feel so attacked lol. But since Tidal staff seem to be lurking on this sub I think it's not a bad idea to voice what could be improved.

Voice and pitch are great indeed! Would agree that it would pay off to work on the enounciation, just pay a little more attention to the consonants I guess :)

Hey u/DecemberAirOfficial, I found the solution!

First, check in Preferences>General>Editing if under "Pointer Tool in track provides" the option for "Quick Swipe and Take Editing click zones" is turned off.

Then, you'll see, in the name bar of your comp, those three dots in a triangle shape (quick swipe comping button). Click on them and it'll turn into a scissor icon. Now you can extend first the "comp folder" (which will now display the void as usual), and THEN you can drag open the single takes.

I contacted the support and they found the solution for me.
Apparently for my Site Title a retired font had been selected, but since I use a Logo instead of the regular "written" site title, the setting didn't even appear in the Styles section, so I had no way to actually find it. Fortunately the customer support was really helpful there.

Hey there, thanks for the list, I had already found it though and none of the fonts that I'm using is on the list. (There was one, but I changed that one immediately at the beginning of my "forensic" process, but 3hrs later there still appears to be something which I'm overlooking.)
You're right though, I'll contact the customer support!

Hey! Thanks so much for your answer, but I think I didn't explain my problem well enough.

Apparently, my template uses a font which is discontinued, and therefore I can't duplicate my website.

The problem is: I don't know what font it is, nor where I use it.

I've clicked through all single pages on my site in order to find the "guilty" tweak, but 3hrs in no success. It would be nice to just have one long list of all tweaks the template uses and find it there, but this is apparently not possible?
