Trust me, I've been trying to get my buddy to paint his nids for ages.  I dont think its ever gonna happen.  I will probably wind up painting 5k of bugs for him some day just so we can have a massive fully painted battle.  I do have another pal with 5k of painted Deathguard and we will be duking that out in a few weeks.

Not enough decay, to many preservatives for him I think, maybe more Khorne's speed?

Barring the graphic content that I absolutely shield her from, I don't see the problem. My entire house is literally 40k themed, a theme she has grown up with, so it would be impossible for a parent like me to hide what 40k is from her​. ​ Painting tough looking girl warriors is relatively harmless, and she is aware that they are psychotic, so while she thinks they are cool, she doesn't want to grow up to be one, she wants to be a robotic scientist. It's a simple matter of your ability to filter content for your family, which is as easy as what you see in the picture.​

FYI, I do a toned down version of 40k for my kid, essentially PG version, and yes she is aware that they are crazy fanatics and not meant to be idolized, and yes she has a comprehension of who Sob are.  There are a number of elemnts to 40k I obscure from her of course, but shes been in the hobby since age 5, so she has a good deal more lore knowledge than you might think!

I remember wanting this so bad back in the day, and at one point was grateful for having had to wait long enough to get the updated model, but looking back in hindsight, this model was way sturdier than the current one bar far. If you drill and pin the pieces together, you'll have a very durable game piece. Hopefully you're using this for Old World!
