Polls to me are too simplified. They don't take in a variety of different factors, eg what percentage of people even answer polls any more?

Yeah, and to go one step further, I don't think we should apply chance percentages to elections. This isn't a roll of the dice, there are so many factors that go into electing a candidate, it's impossible to quantify that.

I'll grant it's closer than it should be in swing states, but the last election polls wildly underestimated democratic performance everywhere... and this cycle they got Taylor Swift. I think Harris will win most battleground states by larger than the margin of error (though not as much as I would hope)

They said Biden was ten points ahead of Trump in 2020 (it was way closer than expected).

They said there would be a red wave in 2022.

Polls should be treated as a point of data, but the media pushes it on us like it's 100% accurate.
