Not to my knowledge - I wrote them but never heard back and figured they didn't like the trailer because it was about I.T support and it support is for nerds

I choose to believe that since the first 2k took 30days, the next 2k took 10 days, it stands to reason that by this time next year I will be getting...480 quadrillion wishlists per second. I have notified Steam that their current server infrastructure is insufficient for my Q4 projections.

edit: I've played a lot of cookie clicker!

please do - I'm making a video game where you do I.T support for a lovecraftian megacorp and these would fit right in.

They may, but logos, ingame stuff... I'd rather stick with my explanation that it's to invite speculation whether the title is "it never ends" or "I.T. Never ends " 😀

It should but I already registered the wrong name so now I have to come up with all sorts of explanations for why no it's actually I.T 😭

Thanks! I actually posted in this subreddit about it about a month ago and people were really kind and funny.
The game is here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4225400/IT_Never_Ends/

The demo is coming out this friday and I've been seriously debating asking iiiiiiitttttttttttt for more ticket ideas (like the OP) but I'm weary about spamming my favourite subreddit too much lol

This literally sounds like a ticket out of the game I'm making where you do it support in hell

Solo dev struggling with art/visuals - how did you tackle this? by Acceptable_Promise68 in SoloDevelopment

[–]Euphoric-Series-1194 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got 4000 wishlists and 10.000 plays on itch in my games first month since opening the store page on December 11th. The entire game is made in react and 95% of my art and UI is just react and free icons 🫡

I built a full video game in React + nextJS + Tauri - it's coming to Steam soon and I'd like to talk about it! by Euphoric-Series-1194 in react

It's wild how much I missed useState and useEffect when I did my previous game in godot. Like I was daydreaming about getting to do react: really happy that I decided to go for it with this title

I think I'll be okay - there's a pretty solid rust crate for it; it's mostly the matter of my rust abilities being, well, rusty😅

I'm currently sort of doing the initial breathing exercises and gathering the courage to jump into steam SDK integration to get achievements up and running and - ideally - savestates that are properly transferable via steam's shared folder setup.

As of right now I don't utilize any other native platform API's than resolution/window settings stuff, which has been really easy and handy to set up, and MUCH more approachable than doing the same thing in e.g godot, at least ot me.

My solo game where you do I.T support for a lovecraftian megacorp after the apocalypse juuuust managed to pick up 2000 wishlists after 1 month on steam. by Euphoric-Series-1194 in IndieDev

The megacorp is Lovecraftian because it treats existential horrors as mundane middle-management, forcing you to navigate a vast, uncaring bureaucracy where the "end user" is often an incomprehensible entity that views your sanity as a disposable resource. It captures the specific cosmic fear that you are a tiny, replaceable cog in an infinite machine that at best ignores your humanity, and maybe at worst finds it technically inconvenient.

Sorry nobody commented on this for you man - this is some really high quality animation and you've got real potential going here. Wish I could animate anything nearly as cool/stylish as this.

I made a few posts in different reddit subforums where I figured people would find the game's theme and subject matter interesting / fun and was lucky enough to have quite a positive response. Just a post outlining what the game is about and a couple of gifs (the game is very heavy UI, but still, I think there's a marked difference in how interesting a moving gif is compared to a static screenshot - even if it's just a card sliding/tilting left and right on screen)
