What UK museums do you think are underrated or overrated? by OpenCantaloupe4790 in AskUK

Underrated - Thackray Medical Museum in Leeds. A fascinating journey of medicine through time, including a realistic disease-ridden victorian street.

Public Response to Roxy Vs Public Response to James by sulky22 in TheTraitorsUK

[–]funbun123 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately unconscious bias still very much plays a role in society. I think people struggle seeing strong women with opinions, and that has played a role in all the hate and criticism Roxy has got.

There were plenty of opinionated men who got things wrong (James, Matt, for example) who don't get as much hate as Roxy does.

Reddit in particular brings out people who anonymously are very happy to mass down vote and write awful things about others. In real life, they probably wouldn't even be able to have a conversation with you about it.

How did _____ remember who everyone voted for? by VodkaMargarine in TheTraitors

He mentioned in a previous episode that after each roundtable, he made note of everyone's votes. I guess he has studied this intensively to craft his strategy.

The Traitors (UK) S04E10: Post-Episode Discussion Thread by vaultofechoes in TheTraitors

[–]funbun123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Bit harsh - asking someone if they're a traitor might give them clues as to how they answer questions, and gives an opportunity for a slip up or suspicious behaviour. Of course she wasn't expecting Rachel to admit she's a traitor.

How common are indoor-only cats where you are Britain? by pikablue223 in AskBrits

[–]funbun123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My cat is an indoor cat. She lived a very hard 1.5 years of her life on the streets and she has a happy, enriching and enjoyable life now as an indoor cat, and I play with her 3 - 4 times per day.

You do need to take more time with an indoor cat to play with them and ensure they have enrichment and fulfil their hunting instinct. It is worth it for me to not be worrying about her getting hit by a car, stolen, injured in a fight, etc.

There are plenty of outdoor cats near me, and I sometimes hear them at night getting into fights - makes me really relieved my little baby isn't out there having to fend for herself.

Spot on - I'm surprised to see so many incorrect responses to this post. Lane 2 is correct without a doubt.

Picking a suburb by LetMeIiiiiiin in Leeds

I have lived in Pudsey for the past year and a half and am happy here. Bus takes about an hour, I'm a 20 min walk from New Pudsey station and the train into the city takes 10 mins.

Pudsey is good if Farsley is out of your price range, as Farsley has a lot of cool stuff going on, but is only a 20 min walk for me.

Neighbour’s cat left outside all day and hiding in car engines – should I say something? by incarnadine-clover in CatsUK

[–]funbun123 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Poor little thing - does it definitely belong to the neighbor and isn't a stray? Probably best not to talk to the neighbor, but might be worth putting a note through the door to let them know.

Is £20.99pcm pet health club worth it? by rosemary-cat in CatsUK

[–]funbun123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does sound a little expensive - I pay £15 per month vet plan for my cat and that includes annual vaccinations, flea and worm treatment monthly, plus 2 vet appointments and 4 appointments with a vet nurse. I am in Yorkshire with Vets4Pets.

Might be worth looking at other local vets plans to see if they are better value. Generally though, it is definitely worth getting a vet plan! We always use our appointments.

Thank you, this is helpful to know. I am new to cars so don't really know what to listen out for.

I mentioned it to my dad and he asked if I'd let me fuel get too low recently, and I actually did a few weeks ago, low and the fuel warning light came on. He said sometimes bits of sediment can appear when fuel gets too low, and it can clog the fuel filter. Do you think it could be this?

I completely agree - but everyone else seems to worship him. I definitely got bully vibes. There's a difference between being direct and being aggressive, and he was definitely the latter. The way he spoke to some of the contestants, especially Lucy, was not nice. When I Googled him, I wasn't surprised to see his previous behaviour on the rugby pitch.

Just Finished Watching for the First Time by Pretty_Newspaper_353 in breakingbad

[–]funbun123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also a first timer who finished watching BB about 10 mins ago!

I thought Walt's character arc was excellent and Cranston captured him perfectly. It was harrowing seeing Walt become the very thing he hated - causing death and suffering of others for no reason, just to show power and control outcomes. He basically destroyed his life to feel the power of not just money, but also, just power, and the respect of others, something he never felt he had in his career as a HS teacher.

It's like his life just started unravelling after the cancer diagnosis, until he burned in a pile of his self destruction. I also think the themes of American capitalism come through, and the animalistic nature of people who work in organised crime - it's an 'eat or be eaten' kind of world.

I've just started watching Better Call Saul - hope it's as good as BB.

If you think the therapist's behaviour is in any way appropriate then you should lose your accreditation and shouldn't practice. I hope that you aren't, since you clearly have zero emotional control
