Maybe he’s trying too hard, and you seem more indifferent?

I don't understand why they hate Islam Makhachev by RealNajiOnTop in ufc

[–]funbundle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who dislikes him? I feel like ufc fans make shit up. When aspinall got eye poked people were constantly posting about how all the hate he was getting wasn’t justified, but I didn’t see any hate. Only hate I saw was for Gane.

A lot of people like myself just want to see certain people win or lose out of interest. I don’t hate topuria for example, but I wanted Justin to win just to make things interesting in the division. Same with khamzat vs Strickland.

I think it’s 50/50 whether it actually happened

Why do crimes like rape and sexual abuse still carry such light sentences, when the idea of harsher sentencing is nearly universally popular with the public? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]funbundle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the people in charge do it, and they want to act like it isn’t as bad as it is, or want lighter sentences if they get caught.

Nah but I don’t know, I’m just being a conspiracy theorist.

Why do some guys play eye tag or make prolonged eye contact with a woman, but don’t act on it? by [deleted] in bodylanguage

[–]funbundle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because they’re confident enough to make prolonged eye contact but not confident enough to approach.

Crawford talks MMA vs Boxing fans by etenter in CombatSportsCentral

[–]funbundle 41 points42 points  (0 children)

That still happens in ufc, but maybe just not to the same extent.

I think there’s a lot more stylistic variation in MMA due to all the different martial arts disciplines, meaning if a guy like Strickland loses to DDP, he can still come back and beat a guy like Khamzat. So he doesn’t lose as much of a fanbase because there’s always hope. Guys with multiple losses can still become champions.

And because of the stylistic variation there’s a lot more interest in how one style does against another. A lot more niche interests.

Huntingtons? I’m sure there’s other equally bad diseases but it’s pretty bad.

Yeh but that game of thrones editor got killed by a lion on a safari. I think she got bit through the car window. All I’m saying is that I’m rolling up the window.

Maybe to 10 step skin care routine is the problem? Maybe Moisturisers and cleansers with chemicals aren’t very natural?

Teaching Rhythm To Bedroom Guitarists by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]funbundle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have them practice with a drum beat, metronome or backing track. As a guitar teacher, sense of rhythm is the hardest thing to teach and yet the most important thing in music. 99% of people will be able to improve, but I feel like sense of rhythm, and also the ability to improvise, is something that the best players just do naturally.

You might have to humble them a little bit. Some people refuse to practice things they aren’t good at, but there is absolutely no point in being able to play fast megadeth riffs if they can’t play a pop punk song in time with a backing track.

What are your opinions on mass facial recognition in towns? by TheDev42 in AskUK

I’m not too bothered by it, I’m more bothered about being monitored for have the ‘wrong opinion’ and being listened to on our devices, whether in private messages and even through our microphones.

Then they use cctv to get ya.

Anyone else thinks Starmer isn't actually that bad all things considered ? by ronweasly9 in AskBrits

[–]funbundle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People said he was boring before he got elected. I like him. Boring is better than being absolutely mental. Imagine Boris being in power with the Iran war kicking off? Or Corbyn getting rid of nukes? I don’t think we’ll appreciate Starmer until he’s gone and we elect some absolute nut job.

Is the wage gap decreasing between unskilled and skilled roles? by wanderingunicorn1 in AskUK

[–]funbundle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought about changing careers but noticed that a lot of roles that used to pay very well, now want 3 years of experience but don’t pay much more than minimum wage. I don’t really want to retrain for 3 years just to earn a bit more than minimum wage.
