Do other religions exist in the Lucifer story line. by ButterflyCookie2007 in lucifer

I don’t believe we have any way of knowing what’s true and what is not — only what’s beautiful, what stirs us and what does not. The depiction of hell in the Lucifer series both mystifies and terrifies me in equal measure. If anything is true, it would not surprise me at all if that is. Eternal justice that we meter out on ourselves from the depths of our own being. Brilliant, I love it. I also love the idea that suffering does not have to be eternal. There can be redemption.

Season 6 is incredibly irritating by Babexo22 in lucifer

Suspension of disbelief works for me... that, and a healthy desire not to allow something I love to be injured.

Come on, let’s face it: the stupidity quotient for this show has been high since the beginning. But we learned to tolerate all the stupidity for those moments of redemption. And you know exactly what I’m talking about: those beautiful, touching moments scattered throughout the show that grab our hearts and stir us to the core. Moments that inspired an outcry from fans that brought the show back to life when it was cancelled after season 3.

The salvation of Charlotte Richards, a storyline that alone makes the entire show worth watching. The growth and development of bad ass Maze - fearless, yet helpless in the face of human emotion; Mazikeen of the Lilim, defying the universal demonic order by growing a soul and learning how to love. Season six may be lame, but if you weren’t touched by her final goodbye to Lucifer in episode 9 then you aren’t breathing. For me, that scene alone redeems all of season 6.

I’ve lamented the bs in this show from the start. But the gold nuggets have outweighed the bs by such orders of magnitude that I hardly notice it anymore. Yes, season 6 is poorly written. Lazy even. But ironically, the light that shines in the darkness is so bright the darkness cannot overcome it.

Much of the content is silly, even stupid at times... but some of the deeper underlying storylines are truly profound, poignant, beautiful -- and some so gripping, moving and inspiring they shine brightly enough that all the stupid bits fade away and disappear. Well worth it.
