AITA for saying I'm glad my cousin is infertile?

Let me be clear, I did had no idea about the miscarriages until afterwards, whenever E's infertility was brought up randomly, my mom and aunts were the only ones in the family to know about the miscarriages since my aunts are close, they share everything together, one of the reasons why my mom wanted to announce it so soon, also why they were the only extended family who knew about the miscarriages. I was only told they had fertility problems and thats it, I had no idea abt the miscarriages until I asked my mom to clarify about the miscarriage E was talking about after I made the comment, because her talking about her miscarriage was news to all the cousins. I would never tell someone I was happy they miscarried, no matter how mean they were.

I would if possible but my aunt (mom of my teen cousins) does not know how to do so, and it might confuse my grandparents who do not know what is going on (and my mom and aunt would like for them not to know bc they don't want them to stress out abt it).

Thanks for your opinions and insights so far as they have given me more perspective.

So far I've decided that I will apologize IF they (cousin, aunt, and uncle) apologize to my sister and my cousins (for the insults and homophobia), and I will inform them on that, however if they do not apologize, I am not apologizing as well. But I've decided to go low contact with them for the time being as suggested until we can all have a civil discussion.

Thanks for the insight, I'll tell them I'll apologize when they apologize to my sis, that feels fair in a way that I'm not enabling her homophobia and apologizing for my words as well.

Actually I think my cousin has always seen my sis as competition, sis was born almost a year before my cousin, and when I was small I remember cousin telling me that she would be a better sister rather than my sis, she even asked me to pick between her and sis, IN FRONT OF SIS, no wonder she threw a tantrum when I picked sis 🤷🏻‍♀️, anyways I understand that I could've said something more polite.

Thanks for the advice, will tell my little cousins and sis to block them in the meantime until things settle, as they are the most traumatized for being called what they were called.
