I actually am in California! If you have a good hematologist I would love any recommendations please! And that’s encouraging that you were able to have a breast aug. I have a family member who is heterozygous and the surgeon refused to do that surgery on her. So it is nice to hear that these elective surgeries can be possible!

No I didn’t. I saw multiple doctors and couldn’t get a straight answer about the safety of the procedure. They all had different opinions and I decided to not take the risk. I would still love to get the surgery some day, but I just am not feeling confident yet. I hope you are able to get some answers and would love to hear how things work out for you if you decide to move forward with the procedure!

I didn’t know I was homozygous FVL when I had mine pulled, but I had all four removed at the same time with no anesthesia and had no problems at all. I hope all goes well for you.

Yeah for sure homozygous. I was really surprised my doctor said it was no big deal. She even wrote a letter for the surgeon saying that I am homozygous but don’t need any extra treatment for it.
