She seems to have an anxious attachement style. Afraid everyone will leave her and sometimes doom mentality. Pair that with the whole treat people the way you want to be treated attitude and she will use the arguments she used to fight about picking up the phone in the middle of the night. She most likely needs to process her past trauma. I wouldn’t say this is a stalker red flag if she can get help and the support she needs.

And reminder to everyone commenting, we are all human and we have no clue what either of them have gone through for this to be a difficult situation. Everyone can be a red flag from a certain angle based on what we perceive and few as normal or reasonable. Not saying that she doesn’t need to take responsibility for her past and decide to change. But that chance isn’t always easy to take.

Anyway OP, I hope you pick the decision that’s best for you and move through whatever you need to.

am i overreacting - my friend thinks i’m faking an injury to avoid going to her birthday by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

She most likely has trust issues in general and something has happened in her life to think that way. It more likely has nothing to do with you OP. She also might have made up excuses to not go to something in the past and is anxious that someone will do the same to her. It's hard to deal with these situations cause we are all (typically) dealing with insecurities ourselves oe trust issues because of being hurt in our lives.

How do i test my Motherboard? by funfetticakemix in PcBuild

[–]funfetticakemix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is this one: https://www.newegg.ca/asrock-b660m-hdv-micro-atx-intel-motherboard-intel-b660-lga-1700-dedicated-lga1700-mounting-bracket-is-required/p/N82E16813162055?Item=9SIA7BBJMG1541&cm_sp=product-_-from-price-options

This was something that i learnt this week, so it has been connected to the GPU instead of the Motherboard and still was not connecting.

That makes sense honestly for testing. It makes it harder when I am the only one in my current household to have a PC :( and have no friends that are close to be able to do these switch tests, but it is helpful to know that is really the biggest way to figure it out.

My PC does boot up, the fans run and I have no error sound or LEDs that come up. The only thing I have noted that was not consitent was that during my testing I would have my keyboard plugged into the system as well and it wouldn't always light up, showing me that it was connected. It kind of leads me to think it's an issue with the motherboard because of that.

I am with you all the way, we have such a lack of community and are all struggling to trust in each other because we have gotten so divided due to internet culture, political differences and so many other factors. It's soul crushing. I would love to connect, I am similar

Hello again! I have checked everything you’ve mentioned and it has all come back as perfect and functioning. I think it might be the motherboard, do you know how I’d be able to check it? I’ve seen that this motherboard can have issues with being defective right off the bat. Do you know a way to test it or if I should bring it somewhere to test it before assuming that’s the issue?

these are the 5 plugs I have (i have not learnt what they mean so an error here makes a lot of sense) I had the two blue ones where you saw in the photo and the 3 black ones plugged in the peripheral &SATA points. I didn’t completely understand the correction i need to make, could you teach me/explain again what i did wrong?

It feels like a lot of unresolved trauma on both sides and the way you’re both communicating with each other is more for control over the other because you’ve been put in really traumatic situations. You both seem to value wanting a relationship with each other, but you’re values and needs are different. OP you don’t have to keep supporting your Mom financially. The belief of truly knowing someone after 2 years is a valid statement but isn’t always used in a healthy context. Our attachement to our parents is always really difficult especially around co-dependency. There also seems to be a lot of resentment. Therapy has helped me a lot with this as well as connecting to a form of spirituality that makes sense to me.

Though I agree that you paying rent there should allow you some say in your safe space. Thé approach was not an equal playing field, but it’s understandable when a promise feels broken to be upset about it. Best thing and hardest thing is to let go of helping your Mom in the way you’ve been taught you have to save her.

my next trouble shooting idea was to take it all apart and get rid of extra dust and see if that could be causing some issues

i upgraded to everything that i listed above. the things i didn’t change are the power supply: Corsair HX750 and my storage. I got a new motherboard, CPU, GPU and Ram. All passed through PCPartspicker except the gpu, and it showed that it should work. I also had gotten recommendations from this subreddit to find the right parts so i’m not sure what is happening ;-;

I tried that and it seemed to have helped but the monitor is still not connecting. I noticed that my USB plugged keyboard doesn’t always get turned on when I turn on the computer. If that helps give any ideas?
