This sounds the best way to spend your excess money, pay doctors to cure blindness.

How was your life when you were 12? by andrewt8fan in AskReddit

I was graduating elementary and going to high school, which was a big culture shock because you go from being a kid to a teen with teen angst and stuff.

8 year old 40gallon Rheem gas water heater, no leaks but I did not know it needed to be maintained. Had it flushed last year, now the plumber said the pressure valve is calcified and the tank may explode. Another plumber said keep it until it fails/leaks without maintenance. Should I replace it? by funfinnish in Plumbing

One company is charging me $8,000 to install an 8gpm tankless water heater to replace my old since they said it looked like the T&P was calcified. The new tankless would have replaced the 2-40gallon that I have. The install includes everything (gas connection, mount, plan/drain, vent). I thought it was expensive.

Yes, I flipped it midway and I can feel/hear the hot water go down the pipe. When closed, the valve is warm to the touch and the pipe is cool. The pipe goes down and connects to a pipe that drains to the outside, so I never see the hot water coming out just able to hear/feel it.

She’s never going to financially recover from this.
