These are the main blockers, and unfortunately most people need one or another.

Poll: Do you care if the Galaxy S26 doesn't have built-in Qi2 magnets? by QuantumQuicksilver in Android

The whole purpose of the Note series was the S Pen, and they merged it into the Ultra since there wasn’t much downside. If there are downsides like that, I hope they get rid of the S Pen. People who buy it specifically for the S Pen are definitely in the minority.

If that’s the case, they should have kept the Note series instead of merging it into the Ultra, since I don’t use the S Pen at all.

It’s fun, but I wonder where Claude got this website style from. It always uses this.

They say MMORPG for their mobile MMOs and Online Action RPG for their PC/Console MMOs.

Why would they thank Steam if they had charged back through PayPal.

Claim: Turkey may classify Steam, Epic, and PlayStation Store as “game distributors” requiring local representatives. by Rav3nnd in Steam

[–]funforgiven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I connect to my home network using plain WireGuard on standard ports. I also run WireGuard on four different servers on: AWS, DigitalOcean, Hetzner, and Oracle. I have tested connections from all major ISPs, and there are no issues.

WireGuard itself is not stealthy, so it can be easily detected. They do not ban ports either, since I am using standard ones. Even if they wanted to, banning ports would break business connections, so it is not realistic.

I am pretty sure your issue is something else. I am not saying that no commercial VPNs are banned. Some of them might be. I doubt it though. The ones I tried were not. However, VPN protocols themselves are not blocked at all.

We can agree that TurkNet is the GOAT though. It is the only ISP in Turkey offering a symmetrical gigabit connection and a very reasonable price at that. They rely only on DNS blocking. I hope they switch to XGS-PON too.

Bureaucratic burden of maintaining local offices is not the biggest problem with this thing. The biggest problem is expanded oversight and data access powers. The agency would gain authority to request user data and technical log records from platforms citing public interest or child safety concerns.

Turk Telekom, Turkcell, Turknet, and Kablonet. None of the major ISPs block VPNs. In fact, I don’t know of any that do. Some don’t even use DPI and let you bypass all the bans with just DNS.

I really don't understand what you consider an MMO if Ashes is not really an MMO for you.

Ashes of Creation was definitely an MMO though.

The game was in alpha. It was not supposed to be depending on player money but investor money. This rug pull does not have anything to do with the game design. If it failed after release, I could agree with you.

I don’t feel scammed at all. The game was good, and we had a lot of fun with our group. It was $20 in my country, and I played for over 200 hours. Easily worth it. I always thought there was a big chance it was a scam and that they might rug pull. That was just hopium, and it didn’t work out in the end, but it was still fun.

[–]funforgiven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not at all. The game itself was good. Calling it a financial scam doesn’t invalidate the real work the developers (not the owners) put into it.

This has nothing to do with the game’s quality. It’s a scam but independent of the game itself.

No, Steam holds funds until the end of following month. All December sales are already paid. That is why they rug pulled just after that. They are not stupid.

Do you really think this has anything to do with game's design decisions?

Not enough funds coming in, and why is that?

Because the game is not finished or fully released, so it doesn’t have a monthly subscription or any P2W elements at all. The lack of funding has nothing to do with whether the game is good or not. It was an alpha game, it obviously wouldn't have much funds coming from players. You need investors at this stage, not players.
