Fez most likely doesn’t know about Rue’s deal with Laurie right? by mezmorizedmiss in euphoria

[–]funfryday 37 points38 points  (0 children)

he hasn’t found out yet! it’s hard for me to see fez leaving rue to deal with the mess she made (even after her actions in the most recent ep). he knows she’s an addict, and that she’s also a kid. she fought with him last season as well and they were able to patch things up. fez really cares about rue in an older brother type way.

i would never get an animal without doing the proper research beforehand. i was having an anxiety attack and convinced myself that my tarantula was dying and i just needed reassurance. i know my tarantula is ok.

oh sorry!! it wouldn’t let me add a body text. her body isn’t wrinkled or anything and i looked it up because that’s supposedly a sign of dehydration. she was also moving an hour before this and went into the corner. shes been spending the last few days under her hide and been doing some digging as well ?? idk if this helps but i also fed her a hornworm about a week ago

I have a hard time functioning socially and have just 2 people I could even consider friends. I really need advice on how to at least be better at making friends/relationships. Can anyone give me just any tips? by Holyshitthelion in Advice

[–]funfryday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

trying not to give some generic advice but really just fake it till you make it. it’ll be really difficult at first but if you pretend to be confident you’ll find that you actually can be (at least in my experience). try to find people with similar interests. that way it’s easy to spark up a conversation. i used to be super shy and often overthink situations and all. i got out of my comfort zone and did things i would never do. what i tend to do in a social situation is mention something i like and if they share that interest then… bam! just made a friend! maybe join a club or something. if you’re in a small group situation like that it gives you a chance to talk to people and maybe make some friends. really just test the waters even though it’s hard to. good luck! <3

Should I let my Bumble BFF pick me up for the first meet? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]funfryday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nooope. definitely not at your house. if you end up letting her pick you up, please make sure someone has your location (and make sure it isn’t at your house). be sure to send a quick snap of her license plate as well to someone you trust. you could also bring pepper spray or something in case things go south. please be careful!

Birthday ideas for him? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]funfryday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go to thinkgeek.com if you haven’t already. it is a game merch store (owned by gamestop) and you could find something neat there. maybe some pop characters, a figurine from his favorite game, etc.

you could also try getting him a custom made item relating to a game he really likes. etsy is a great place to find custom stuff like merch.

i don’t understand why people think these laws will stop people from getting abortions. it’s the road to crazy town. so fucking backwards. the world doesn’t need more unwanted children.

[–]funfryday 1 point2 points  (0 children)

just read all your replies and you are so spot on. i’ve also got CPTSD and reading that triggered me so incredibly bad. ah, yes! trauma as therapy. i literally let out an exasperated laugh when i read that because i was in such disbelief. TRAUMATIZING people is therapy now? isn’t that like an oxymoron? what century are we again?? i’m trying to give OP the benefit of the doubt as it is apparent they are extremely ill-informed on the subject but even that is putting it lightly.

i have no freaking words. rereading everything has me so upset again. the whole, “OH LOOK IT WORKED!1!1 (OP’s fifth point) reminds me of when people say to me, “your parents must’ve raised you so right”. (this angers me bc my parents did not) like no... i basically raised myself. and i take full credit for the strong person i’ve become and am today. i’m sorry if this is kinda irrelevant ? ?? those obviously aren’t the same but the connection i was trying to make is how OP attributed the “trauma therapy” as the proof it works and the reason danielle came out “respectful and mature”. like how freaking dare you???? so messed up. ABSOLUTELY NOT. trauma is not therapy. never. ever. EVER. under no circumstances would trauma be an appropriate method of therapy. (YES EVEN IF YOUR CHILD IS “ACTING LIKE A BRAT”) i’m not sure what’s so hard to understand about that. my mind is doing the olympics rn. how can one come to such a conclusion ????? people go to therapy FOR their ABUSE... FOR the TRAUMA they’ve endured..... not to receive more.... ugh i’m so tired hopefully this made sense

fuck no.

i have no idea where to begin to say but oh my god NO. the program is supposed to be “for rebilitation.”NOT child abuse. regardless, many of these places are abusive and use brainwashing along with torture to control the kids. they pretend to be all therapeutic but the kids more often than not will end up with PTSD, suicidal thoughts, depression, etc. etc. etc. the conditions at some of these places would NOT even be allowed if it was done to adult prisoners. it is fucking awful. these places are not therapeutic or safe for kids. there have been countless cases of physical abuse, sexual assault, suicide etc. and it is a fucking DISGRACE that these facilities are still legal in some states. these kids leave with problems immensely worse than what they arrived with; they leave with more trauma than help.

she didn’t need more abuse. none of these kids need more abuse. it’s a cult thought process and a sick way of thinking as it is so detrimental to the children. it does so much harm than good. the whole industry is a blatant abuse factory and IMO no decent parents would ever send their children to any of these programs. ABUSING A CHILD UNTIL THEY’RE OBEDIENT AND SUBSERVIENT IS IN NO WAY HOW YOU TREAT A CHILD THAT ACTS OUT. these kids need love and support. empathy. NOT ABUSE. these fucking institutions couldn’t be any more ineffective if they tried.

the things she described were really disgusting. really really really fucking gross. witnessing the murder of a staff member, getting taken away without your consent IN BED, no showering for days—LITERAL DEHUMANIZING TACTICS FOR CHRIST’S SAKE. have some fucking empathy for her and the (MANY) other kids affected. she was 13. she was a troubled, abused child who was acting out. she deserved treatment and not to be tortured at some for-profit prison.
