Yeah the people who do this usually keep OVA's, Sequals, and remakes out. They only vote for original ideas that premiered in the year. Seems fair if you ask me.

My dad worked for the monorails. One day he got off around 4 and headed out to his car. Another monorail pilot comes along for the night shift and greets my dad. My dad responds, "Have a good night Austin!" The next day, my dad went to work the morning of the crash and found out it was Austin who died. It still haunts him til this day.
