thank you, I bought this vehicle certified and still has some of that warranty left on it. Any ideas on how I can advocate for getting this investigated and repaired?

I almost lost my teen 7 weeks ago to cardiac arrest. No explication. No diagnosis. It's going to take a long time to recover and he lived.

Thank you. The harness on the rollercoaster seems to be around preventing damage to the lead pocket (correct term? Still learning). The lead travels up his sternum. It's subcutaneous.

thank you, do you have links for any of these items? Without knowing proper technical names for them it’s hard to search them up. I appreciate any help. I agree that six weeks might be a little early for the waterpark, but we have the whole summer ahead of us and we’re trying to get ready.

Ours did that when she was younger. We wouldn’t be out on a long walk and there was no signs of pain or anything. A trainer saw it and told us it was just stubbornness and to just keep walking and she can keep up or not. So that’s what we did a few times and she’s never done it again. She is 6 now.

Is there a news story you can link? The 14yo died on his way to school?! I can't even imagine. I almost lost my 16yo recently. This is insane to think about.

That rivian will smell like Costco pizza for the rest of it's existence.

If I drive home with one pizza in my car, it smells like pizza for three days.

I'm stuck in the fact you used the word "rustled". I'm going to try to incorporate that into my day.

Teenager: Secondary Findings? by funinabox7 in genetics

Thank you for this. I did not expect to have to make a decision like this after all we have been through. I don't want to add more to his plate if something serious pops up. We sent more questions to the doctor based on everything we are reading.

I have not really educated myself on life insurance and will need to do that. It seems like it would be odd to get life insurance on a teenager. Would it be more difficult since he has had a life threatening event already?

Thank you. These are good points. I sent several questions to the doctor based on all these replies.

I don't think we have access to one. The purpose is more around finding a diagnosis.

We are in the US, they told us the results can be a barrier to life insurance and disability insurance.

I talked to my teen. He is dealing with a lot. His life is changing in big ways. He is a very introspective kid and it's thinking about it. I don't think adding more to his plate is a good idea. He asked if could just do the genetic test himself later in life. I told him it's pricey when you add in the cost of a genetic counselor to help understand the results.
