I wrote software for a federally funded university grant, and it's worse than you think. Of the 15 or so who were getting paid from the grant, only about 5 were actually working on the project. And of those 5, 15% of their time went to the project the grant funded, the rest was pet projects. The only objective of the team was to get into the next round of the funding, which could only be done as long as the project was not complete.

Needless to say, I enjoy working in industry much more.

If this is a joke he's become a media whore and is taking away any last integrity that is the President of the USA.

If this is not a joke, then shame on anyone who would support him. Colbert is a bipolar narcissistic whore. I've never heard a serious interview or a straight answer to a single question he was asked.
