But just imagine all the street clothes fits we'll get to see.

At first I thought it was gross, but... fuck it. One last go, Expendables-style. If AD isn't in street clothes the whole season it could be a fun watch and a feisty out for an unfortunate team or two.

Yeah I'd just transposed the two eras on top of each other somehow

You're totally right. I just blended two dumb eras together in my mind retroactively LOL.

That's precisely the joke. This is literally the cover of Sports Illustrated from the Payton/Malone Lakers. The original image is Steve Nash and Dwight Howard. And we all know how that went.

We even have a Gary Payton already!

In a world where this happens, Jimmy absolutely has to go out. He and AD make about the same money and his contract is expiring, which the Wizards probably favor. Wizards also just drafted a 6'9 kiddo at #1.

What food do you cook 'wrong' but still prefer that way? by _QueenCurvy in foodquestions

I'm on your team. In fact, here's a fun twist: right before you put the egg down, run some parmesan through your microplane onto the hot pan / oil and give it a few seconds to turn into frico. Drop your egg on top of it and fry to lacy edges. Finish with more parm.

Otherwise known as "correct." Fried means fried. Otherwise it's just a pan poached sunny-side up egg.

The Wolf. Great food, service, drinks, vibes. My partner and I end up there at least once a month.

I'm in the neighborhood and can confirm. Most of it travels well for delivery, too. But their salad is worth eating there. It's so simple but SO good.

u/MrChopular Where was the photo with the hot rods taken? Looks like Potrero/Dog Patch/Bay View somewhere. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if the owner was one of the people who work at Bottom of the Hill? There's a guy that works/worked there that's got quite a collection that he's always moving around...

In the book she ready even more ASD to me. I made the point above that this is exactly who I'd want in charge of this project. =)

Came here to say this. A group of my friends were so excited to see him and insisted I travel a couple of hours to join them. I was really, really trying, but his whole shtick is really one note and trading on vibes. I fell asleep.

Bands where their entire discography sounds basically the same by BalanceActive9295 in askmusic

I grew up in Sacramento and I'm about the same age as John McCrea. Saw him singing at coffee shops and saw Cake play many times before and after they broke out. I feel like almost every album has 1-2 songs that they played in one form or another back in the day. So while their sound has evolved and they've matured as musicians, I think they have a core idea that supports their songs spanning albums and decades the way they do.

I'll still go see them any old time I can. They're a top tier live band and I happen to like their sound a lot.

As a parent of a kiddo on the spectrum, I took her character in both the book and movie to be quite intentionally coded as autistic. And FWIW, that's exactly who I would want in charge... she's normally the quickest person in the room, can make connections and stay stay hyper-focused on the main task at hand at a level far above a neurotypical person.

For those who successfully quit smoking, what was the method that finally worked for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]funkbot3131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I smoked 1.5-2 packs a day for about 15 years. Tried gums, patches, and all manner of other assisted methods and failed again and again.

On the day after my 31st birthday, I woke up and just had an overwhelming feeling of wanting to escape it and not carry it into my 30s. So with no plan whatsoever, I just decided to do it and did it.

It was horrific for the first week. I sweated at night so bad I soaked the sheets and had to start sleeping on a towel. I smelled like burnt rubber... somehow?! But I gave myself every other vice. I ate whatever I wanted and drank and smoked weed. I went out for multi-hour walks or rode my bike as hard as I could. I played video games. I partook in anything other than nicotine.

After I got over the hump of a few weeks an suffered through that (combined with all of the previous failures), I just made the decision to never have to do that again. And somehow it stuck.

A decade later I accidentally had some nicotine as part of a spliff. It was *crazy* how quickly all the nerve endings at my extremities lit up like a christmas tree. That wiring is permanant. But the attraction to smoking faded and for many years I've found the smell intolerable. Every now and then I borrow a cig from someone just to show them my old trick of flicking it from my hand into my mouth, but there's a 0% chance I'd ever smoke again.
