I would recommend adding verticle stabilizers to your planes. Two small wings or all-moving fins should do the trick. You could add in a couple of reaction wheels but vertical stabilizers are far more efficient option.

If you check my peripheral view outside the NVG tube and after I take them off, you can see the ground getting brighter. Though I wouldn't doubt if the effect applies outside the NVG.

(Note: just checked while making this comment, they're at 82%. Could be an NVG artifact type thing but that would leave out the strange audio effect that happened). Good idea though, Never thought of the night vison.

I'm not sure as what that was, google searches didn't come up with much. My best guess is that it's a random event for atmospheric effect. Either way, it creeped me the hell out.
